Am I doing it differently?

So I am chatting with two different men.

I said to both.

"Hubby and I had my lover and his wife over for dinner last night."

Both asked if the 4 of us had sex. ?

I'm curious ?? do non-monogamy couples always have sex with dinner guests?

Just trying to get my head around why these men would assume dinner leads to sexy time.

We don’t have sex with anyone we invite over for dinner

We have sex with anyone we invite over for sex though.

Maybe men assume that as you’re on a swinging sit you’re just horny all the time

I'd imagine because you said the guy was your lover

As above because you described the guy as your lover and you're talking to them on a swingers site

Doesn't everyone fuck the dinner guests? I thought that was a thing!

Only 'real' swingers.

The vicar was very embarrassed last time we had him round.

I'd assume so, it's easy to connect the dots that way.

I would say so. You'd be surprised or maybe you wouldn't, at the number of men who assume that I dress the way I do in our photos 24/7.

Been openly poly/ENM for years.

Lots of people assume that being poly is all sex and orgies, when it's mostly diary management.

We do kitchen table poly. So my nesting partner's gf has dinner with us most nights. My gf and her kid regularly come over to hang out and watch movies or play Minecraft.

I know bods who are asexual but have strong relationships, so very much in love but don't want anything more than a cuddle.

There are lots of myths about being polyamorus. But sex is not love and not all loving relationships need sex.

That said I do know poly bods who would happily organise a dinner party that ends up in an orgy given the chance LOL
