Certain terms that have been so widely used now have a stigma attached to them that can make people not want to use them to describe their relationships or elements of them. So instead of using these terms and dealing with the comments that come with it, what other names do you use for these types of relationships? |

I'm not a fan of labels in general but so.etimes they come in handy, especially when describing our dynamic to someone. Hence why I asked the question. |

Communication is very bespoke and personal to diff people. And certain expressions and meanings, mostly many differ over it because of experience,or lack of it!
Even as so much and tools are a available in this day and age. The human race has not developed in people skills heart and mind attainment!
Much is led my following, emotions in the wind, the next Vogue and in thing!! |

I'm unsure what a caregiver relationship is? Is this one partner caring for another who is disabled? |

DDLG, AB and CNC areca bit uncomfortable for me, but each to their own. "
Caveat: I have no experience of the above. So am in no position to judge |

This is why I asked because generally people don't like those terns. They cause all kinds of arguments and debates. I've had a lot of abuse for saying I'm in a DDLG relationship which is why I wondered if there was other terms people used. |

I think what works between two consenting parties works.
The ddlg title can (to those outside the dynamic) give rise to uncomfortable assumptions.
Thats why I thought 'nurturing dominant' may decsribecthe dynamic better.
What thoughts do you have OP? |

I'm not sure to be honest. I've seen them termed as caregiver which is why I used it in the title. It's one of those things that automatically makes people jump to the wrong conclusions, people see DDLG and automatically think age play which isn't always the case. |

We have used the term caregiving instead of DDLG mainly due to others not understanding or even bothering to find out.
It's stop all of the 'she needs an uncle' messages |
