I wonder what the numbers are?
Either men (Stright and Gay) pretending to be a couple or woman.
The amount of couple profiles who have one verification posted the same time as the account has been active but no new ones since.
Single folk who are not single etc.
Any thoughts? |

For many red flags, there can be an actual valid reason.
For the example you used, some years ago, I was pointed in this direction after meeting through other means, and so we were verified the very same day.
We went on to meet more through this site, so takes us out of the equation of your example.
There are though, some that have joined similarly, say through meeting at a club or party, joined here as a recommendation, but carried on the way they know, say through clubs.
They could also be fake, and wrongfully verified.
It can be difficult at times, but often it very quickly becomes clear to which it is. |

Personally we would fully support a more vigorous validation process, as with some other site's. However that would require greater cost, as with other site's 
With us currently 'physical' absence we accept Fab for what it is, as and when we return this site won't be our focus. |

Hmmmm I would say the percentage is particularly high with the free accounts
But recently I have found a lot of couple accounts with veto’s and photo verified are now manned solely buy the now single male
Perhaps a yearly photo veri might be a good idea  |

True, we have reported 4 now, all removed.
People are unaware you can search Google with a picture, it will then tell you where that picture came from if fake, a picture from a fab account shouldn't be coming up on random sites around the web. A genuine picture should have no results on Google.

At a rough guess the word fake is used 100 times a day on the forums so if we assume a lot of those claims are based on sour grapes, naivety and/or fanny blindness I'll go with 10% are genuinely fake.  |

Difficult to put a figure on it as some fakes are better than others. Even site supporter status doesn’t prove anything any more just that some fakes are prepared to pay what is a relatively small amount. Perhaps if they had to pay 12 months up front it might deter some of them. As it stands, for £5 you can waste people’s time for a couple of months if that’s the way you get your kicks.  |

I'm not sure it sorts the fakes as much as people often say. Neither Alice or I would do a phone chat before meeting in person. And I know that quite a few others feel the same. |

Reading my profile it says o can't accommodate, because I can't due to personal reasons.. not that I'm going behind anyone's back.
I also describe myself as discrete, which I am...who wants a loud couldn't care less person showing up at your door!
Yet both of those I'm told raise red flags with the quite a few of whom I've contacted |

It’s not so much the fakes that bother us.
They’re easy enough to spot when you’re only looking for single guys.
It’s the amount of wank fantasists and guys with no real intention of ever meeting (even though they think they will) that are a problem. |

I dunno. I’ve had no veris although I am face verified. I would think it’s relatively easy to find out if someone is genuine. Set up a cam session or better still, organise a costa/Starbucks coffee meet. Would that not work out?
Also, most profiles will either give a warm fuzzy feeling or a red flag feeling. I did a “man” search in my area the other day to get an idea what makes a successful profile and the amount of dross that showed up…either dreamers, attached guys or this “just looking to get their hole”. But there are red flags for the women/couples too…not in the same way though. |

We’ve been on for over a year - joined during Covid, which was obviously a daft thing to do. However, our main issue is that we can only meet during the daytime so it’s difficult to find compatible people to play with. It’s not easy to get a reasonable amount of veris so people tend to be suspicious. This is totally understandable especially as there are so many fakes. I got chatting to a catfish on a different site today and I just don’t get what they get out of it. |

I have never had a chat (and won't, as i won't disclose my phone number until i have met someone) and yet i am not fake and have the verif to prove it.
It can help but not guaranteed. as some one else mentioned i am more annoyed by dreamers and wanker that talk abotu a meet but will never ever show up. Getting very easy to spot those as well.

We keep having the same guy try to get a friend request he's Been a couple 3 times then a single female never verifed lies about getting it done. We know its home by the way he talks. Even pretend he was friends with one of our verifications. |

are singles folk who are not single fake if there meeting as a single person. for example some couples on here have singles profiles for when they meet separately. in addition for married men/women if there meeting singularly then its not a fake profile to advertise as a single if they genuinely meet that way?

The one that makes me think jts a fake profile is when there's a few verifications but when you look at the profiles every one is a blocked profile... it seems odd to have 5 or 6 veris and every one of them has a blocked profile...  |

Having read through the messages, it seems that so many people are convinced that a very large proportion are fakes, that they end up losing genuine people.
We are a couple (Maybe)
I the male does all the searching and initial chat to out the ones that are of no interest. I don't even tell Di til we have possibles.
Yes, i would say no to phone chat early on but maybe yes after a decent text chat.
Verifications? So many are
Yes we met them in a club. Didn't play! Oh that's useful!!
We spent best part of a year playing with one couple. We only had 1 verification from them.
We have played with several couples more than once but only have 1 veri. from them.
Veris are mostly pointless but with some useful ones. We met for a coffee? Wow!!
A 1 year Fab photo verify? Maybe
But I think it is better to be positive and chat before discarding.
We certainly haven't played with everyone that i/we have chatted to for various reasons but we have also been surprised by real genuine couples who don't want to put many photos or have long descriptions or only chatted to the male or.......

I think there has been an influx of couples trying to sell content on other platforms. One Manchester couple was on cam and were offering videos for sale through Whatsapp.
I also think a lot of the newer female accounts seem to just be here to advertise their OnlyFans accounts. Or good old payment for services rendered.
It’s a shame but i suppose sex sells and £5 is £5 to FAB. Ho-hum

I personally think every profile should be photo verified and at least every 6 months redone as personal circumstances change.
The amount of profiles I see that have miraculously got 1 verification hidden is crazy, you get the weirdo’s who make multiple accounts and verify themselves to make it look like they have meets. It’s full of fantasists who have no intention to meet you get off on the chase and the sooner the new platform is up and running the better personally. |

As I said above; I give them my number, and offer them to call me number withheld.
I’ve never asked for their number upfront, even though many people use a second phone for swinging, or a pay as you go sim.
What works for one, doesn’t necessarily work for another, but as a ‘next step’ to a meet, hearing someone’s voice definitely proves they’re genuine, and it’s a great ice-breaker before that nervous, first-time meet face to face. It’s worked well for me anyway |

I don't share numbers with anyone I haven't met. There are probably 3 people currently on the site who have my number and only one of those that I'm in regular contact with.
I've yet to speak to a woman here who is comfortable with a video chat which is fine because neither am I and as such have never done it.
As you say it might work for you but I've been here 7 years and never had a no show or engaged with a fake profile so I'll continue to not share numbers or pics. |

Men pretending to be a female or couple then yes that is fake.

It rather depends on your definition of fake.
Fake, as in not exactly what they portray... quite a lot ... not the age they display for example.
Fake as in single man rather than a couple or single lady, not that high, and usually easy to spot.
In my opinion, those who are regularly getting disappointed by fake profiles, need to rethink their selection criteria and not get drawn into sex chat.
