Selective age limits..

Whilst I always respect everyones wants, needs and requirements, one thing has always been a little confusing... An age limit by some on meets with singles but none on meets with couples? Why should this be?? |

i think hes trying to say, for instance, and it does confuse me as well tbh, a single gir for example will not meet a 50 yo guy for a meet, but she will meet a 50yo couple  |

Quite correct.. But to try and clarify the confused, single woman as part of a couple only wants to meet an under xx, but with her partner no limits exist... That can be with straight, bi, or otherwise! |

Not always when the couple have one profile but the individuals involved also have their own, or indeed if one on the couples profile is unavailable and the single available on that same profile then wants to arrange alone.. |

Dont think its a question of Dom.......its compromise. The guy may like older people, she may like younger. They meet in the middle when they meet as a couple.

MrsH will only meet guys under 40 yet I am 47, as she says she likes a change and she has one older guy at home if she wants one, however if we meet couples it is usually only social anyway and we meet any age.

There are quite a lot of couples who can break the age limits as it always uses the youngest person, we have often had couples with the females in the 20's and the males in the upper 40's or 50's message us and its just a bit pointless.

Dont think its a question of Dom.......its compromise. The guy may like older people, she may like younger. They meet in the middle when they meet as a couple.
Vice versa in these particular cases I mention But the answer seems to be in what the partner wants to share as as couple and not what the individual may actually want as a person in those cases..

So people are either being inconsistent or using their profile how they wish. I suppose it depends on how you look at it. especially if you've had a knock back.

As previously stated, I always respect and adhere to singles and couples profile choices, just wanted to hear a range of opinions on my original question as to why it should be...

Well in single guys I meet young 18-30. But I much prefer older woman, so when it comes to couples I will choose older as I would much rather be with an older guy than a younger girl.. Does that makes sense |

As I said the age limit is universal, but with couples the "lowest" in the couple will get the couple into range.
hence why you will see couples with strict limits who might have met a couple where one half is over the limit |

For me, I wont play with single men below 55ish, but couples, I like women any age from mine up, and no age limit for the man.
I just cant figure how to accurately reflect that in my profile - not that I'm looking right now anyway.
Just sayin.  |

im a single fem and meet couples and single guys. i have a narrow age range 30-44. this is a guide, i would go a couple of years younger and a few years older. however i still get messages from young boys 18ish and 60 odd year old men. i have no interest in those age ranges. and no i wouldnt do a couple where the bloke is in his forties and she's in her twenties. |

I have different criteria when meeting couples to single men - which seems to be the crux of the OP's question.
I cant figure how to set two different age ranges. Looks like other profiles he has looked at run into the same issue? |

My comment was not aimed at anyone in particular. There just seems to me a lot of threads where choices people make are questioned.
If I'm excluded I don't feel the need to question why. Each to their own, more fish in the sea, every pot has its lid ad nauseum! |

Nothing wrong in trying to understand the thinking. Not everyone on here is "having a go" .
Having said that, if you come across a profile that defies logic
Or makes no sense, ignore.
