Considering a trip to Benidorm

So, I’ve heard a lot of filth goes down in Benidorm and that it’s a debauchery/hedonist attraction. How much truth is there to this? Is it worth taking a trip there and would I be bound/likely to find some fun?

I read about a place called El Sofa. Anymore places?

If so, which times of the year are best to go?
