To be honest most of my winks seem to come from people that have looked at my profile and don't match what I'm looking for but I think send them as a way of saying I'm still interested without sending a message, which I prefer if they don't match what I'm looking for that way I still get a nice compliment |

Never understand why people get so anal about winks, we wink if we like the look of people, if they wink back then we send a message. We are also happy to receive winks.
It's a bit like people who say send a face pic with a message but don't have face pics on their profile.
Winking is fun and light hearted, some people take things too seriously.
We have sent people messages who say on their profile that they don't like winks and want people to make an effort, yet they don't even respond. How hypocritical is that?? |

I look at the profile. If I like I message. I tend to leave unwanted winks and friend requests without deleting now as, apparently, they cannot wink/request again if you leave it in your inbox. Saves deleting the same ones over and over. |

I usually send a message back saying thanks for the wink. If i don't meet their criteria via a read of their profile, i also acknowledge this in the message to save people some members getting annoyed.
That being said, some great meets on here have come off the back of winks |

I completely ignore them as they are lazy ways for people who cannot make an effort to express an interest.
Well, I expect people who are interested to make an effort - I do. |

the wink really just says look at me...wink back if u like..
then open a dialogue...the wink becomes irrelevant, but the communication becomes the focal point...after that decide on a meet |

For us a wink is a compliment and if we think the people who have winked us are atttactive and nearby then we wink back. If not then we just ignore and delete. |
