"We use them a lot. It's a great way to gauge if there's interest from both sides before you waste time messaging to find out there's nothing in common or no attraction. "
Yeah I think they are a great way to show some interest. Maybe just nobody is interested haha . |

"In most cases where the wink is from profile what we are looking for MF couples and F singles we like them. It’s a great and simple way to say ‘Hi’. "
Yeah I agree . Definitely think they should be used more |

I really like getting winks and it seems a really good and quick way of saying hi I like you profile xx
Loads seem to hate them, but then they also get oodles of messages filling their inbox xx
I'd love to get more winks for sure xx |

We still use them to gauge initial interest. If there is a wink back we will follow up with a message.
I'd rather that than typing out numerous messages for people not interested, and wouldn't want to resort to copy/paste.
It's a useful first filter. |

Absolutely. Can save a lot of time wasted and can lead to the odd pleasant surprise |

We don't mind then. We do send to see if the other side are interested and if they don't respond and you know they've looked at profile then we know it's a no go. Also do read the profile to make sure it's not a turn off for them |

I send a wink to show interest and then if I receive one back I message them. I tend to just stick to this because as a single man messaging women and couples your up against it and probably will only get 1 reply out of 20 messages so it just makes it easier as for who to message |

I’ve used winks on a few occasions, and received a few (always nice). It can be a good way to break the ice, but it’s no guarantee that the receiver looks at them |

I tend to send a wink first to gauge interest, if I get a wink back I'll always send a message.
If not sending out numerous messages when the person/couple may not be interested can become very tedious and lead to copy and paste messages which no one wants |

I use them, if you wink and they wink back you know there is enough interest to message them.
Sometimes I see a profile I like and don't have the mental space to message them so I'll just send a wink.
Happy to receive them too, if I like the person I'll wink back. |

TBH there are enough messages to delete than trawl through winks as well.
I admit to have sent the odd one to a guy but nothing has come of it.
An interesting message is what I look for. Winks remind me too much of dating sites.
I can see why couples would use it, so this has given me some insight.
Thank you |

Winks work for me, I get lots of messages from people who don't read my profile so a wink is a good way to see if they like my profile and vice versa.
Problem for me is someone will wink, I wink them back but I don't hear from them. Then I forget to message them to start chatting!
If I wink first then they send one back I usually message as soon as I get chance.

I like winks and I think they are a great way of breaking the ice with someone.
A reciprocated wink then allows you to start a conversation in the knowledge that there’s at least some mutual attraction/curiosity there.

I confess to being a bit of a winker!!
May not be for everyone but for me it's a good jump off point to show interest or appreciation of an interesting profile.
Feel free to wink back.

we don't really bother too much, nope.
When we get them we tend to send a brief ty pm
or maybe follow up with a pm for more info if the sender meets our idea of a potentially good meet.
Its a difficult one because we understand some find them irritating |

Nope. I don't send them anymore and I no longer pay any attention to them as I've had far too many instances of messaging someone who has sent me one, only to be completely ignored.
