So thought I would.kick this off again and see how many are out enjoyingbthe weather and road, trails or what ever takes your fancy. North Wiltshire and Gloucestershire is my usual riding areas. Road mostly but have a Gravel so like to have a plast on some gravel trails along the way. |

I'm to be found along the Antrim coast or in the hills in Donegal. Used to live in S Yorks so I've be all over the Peak District. |

You won't be very far from the comeragh mountains, some lovely climbs there. But an Ironman sounds taxing enough. |

Dabble in road and mtb in Wiltshire and around the country- used to ride seriously when a bit younger and travelled around the world competing.
Met some great people and even more fantastic rides and climbs…
Though leaning more to mtb/gravel now, getting fed up with the condition of the roads and attitude of drivers…

Looking forward to the crowds on the run and also Windmill Hill on the bike. I did IM Wales last year and the support was phenomenal. Mrs Skyblue is doing IM Wales this September. Hope for her sake she gets better conditions than I did last year. |

Gravel riding last weekend.... newly found bridleways to explore... trails are really hard and dry now.... Road ride tomorrow with the "boys" in the club to the pub... Gravel again in the North of the county on Saturday...meantime I am servicing, repairing and upgrading Customer bikes... Ride Safe all |

How do you find tge ridgeway on a gravel bike? Last time I rode up that way was on a hardball mtb, mostly a loop around Barbury Castle. |

Both love our MTB days! Don’t hit the trails so much any more. We mainly just ride locally or drive to the woods for a ride round. Long gone are the days of huge rides and trails for us  |

I’ve been increasing the pace on my heavy mountain bike recently and it’s been making me think of my old road bikes I had.
Just treated myself to a good deal on a used pinnacle dolomite. Can’t wait to get out for a blast. Forgotten how intoxicating it can be |

Just put my full sus into the bike shop for a full service. It's been sat in storage for about a year and a bit now just seizing up. I used to go trail riding regularly with a friend who sadly passed away last year. Since then, it's been a struggle to consider getting back on the wheels but hoping to get back at it soon!

Definitely loving the sun and topping up cyclist tan. Have a nice hilly 30 mile route from hilsea to buriton and back. Still doing pbs in my 50s and often fastest of day on strava in places. |

Keep those pedals turning. I got hit by a car a few weeks ago. I was very lucky But my arm isn't quite there yet. So it's the trainer for me. |

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. We have a cycle group in town that’s attached to the local bike shop and you see them about all the time but I feel so intimated to join in, they’re like full on racers.
It can be even harder trying to find a cycle buddy than it can be finding a fuck buddy |

Getting back in to it, although fitness is lacking somewhat. A relatively short ride yesterday but it was hot and I didn't check the elevation gain beforehand, so the climbs were a bit of a killer. 1900ft in 21 miles. Muppet |

It should toughen up over time. For any sort of distances a good saddle is so worth it. |

North Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire rider here. I normally ride weekly with my club but always up for more miles and buddies to ride with. Do travel for the odd sportive, doing Cat & Fiddle 10th September, if anyone is up for that. |

Roady, gravel and MTB rider recovering from a 150 mile road ride on Saturday, 10 hours in the saddle my legs and bottom sure need a massage.

Ride road mainly along with Zwift and a couple other platforms. Still racing and do long to ultr distance distances.
I get best of both worlds - I ride recreational and do some coaching and I get to cycle commute for office work. Easily gaining high TSS and load scores (although, admit this morning the roll felt high!) |

This weekend is the STP, 207 miles from Seattle to Portland, feeling a little trepidation as I’ve not been training as much as I would have liked.

The only 50TT, I tried I didn't finish. I punctured and using tubulars, didn't have a spare. Shame as I felt good that day as well. |

The terrain on reaching Carms and in to Pembs wasn’t really an issue. I am used to it living in Pembs but the heat on those back lanes and lack of salts resulted in constant leg cramps for the last 40k x |

I go mountain biking up Cannock Chase every Wednesday night between 7:30 to 10. Night lights on. It’s amazing and a little scary. Also you get to see all the doggers when packing the bikes up |

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. We have a cycle group in town that’s attached to the local bike shop and you see them about all the time but I feel so intimated to join in, they’re like full on racers.
It can be even harder trying to find a cycle buddy than it can be finding a fuck buddy "
Do you have a local triathlon group you could try out? Mine is great, many of us only really focus on one or two of the disciplines and for many it is purely social rather than competitive.

The trusty panniers are packed for 4 days in the Purbecks. 40 mile ride to get there tomorrow, 12 mile hike on Wednesday to Old Harry Rocks, relaxing in the sun at Studland beach on Thursday before 45 mile route back on Friday. If you have a friend who knows their way around a bike I would look at pre loved. There are so many good deals to be had. Nonsuch thing as a baby modern bike.

I ride road and gravel.... gravel opens up so much more than road...great bridleways and byways to explore...and with gravel there is no right way... as in tyre choice, gearing, speed etc... enjoy and OS maps are your friend |
