I think a lot of guys describe themselves as straight if they dont have penetrative sex, (eg if they are only orally bi).... Its all a case of how you describe yourself and how you percieve the word 'bi' i guess. |

The thing is, if I want to describe myself as an orange alien with both sex organs who enjoys sex in the dark with cardboard boxes........ I can.

Most things are left to the reader or writers interpretation. Theres lots of grey areas. Some might class themselves as straight but in a situation they try something theyve not tried before whether this is giving receiving touching or oral. In an experimental way but dont like it so wouldnt do it again the best way to describe this if Ive not already done so is.......

Here's my take on it...
I define myself as 'Lesbian', ie i see myself as a female attracted to other females.
My dad (who hates the fact i am Transsexual) would identify me as 'straight' because he doesnt want to imagine me as anything other than my birth gender.
To any outsider they would likely also label me as lesbian if they saw me out with my girlfriend because to an outsider i am female.
If i chose to go with a guy then i would feel straight.
But to my dad, this would make me gay.
I like the analogy of 'one bite of a veggie burger doesnt make you vegatarian for life'.
Labels... We all use them but the only one that matters is the one you give yourself. |
