I love a wink but I seem to be in the minority.

I think they work as an ice breaker and a way of showing someone that you like their profile.

I'd disagree, I think that they can certainly serve their own purpose to signify interest.

They are pretty inoffensive, each to their own if they don't like them.

We don't send them much

We get a few from time to time

I usually say Hi and thanks out of being polite.

Can be seen as a convo opener but can also be seen as being a bit lazy...

Depends on the vibe I get from the profile of the person sending it.
