Do those of you who are regular forum posters feel that posting on the forums affects the volume of contacts you get,for better or worse?
Do you think that the way you come across on the forums could be helpful or detrimental as far as folk wanting to meet you?
Just out of interest.

I have made some lovely friends via the forums, had some nice messages as a result of some posts and hopefully will meet some people who may otherwise have slipped thru the net! Also had a few nasty messages - but only a couple - from idiots so they don't count! It's a positive from us here! xx |

Forum Mod |
Ive never really thought about it,I help mod so may come across as some sort of miserable cow that closes threads and spoils peoples fun all the time
We still have lots of interest though, not all of it good, but we also have lots of swinging friends that are'nt from the site too so if the effect of posting on here is detrimental for us on this site then it has'nt really made any difference to our swinging xxx |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
I expect seeing what we write puts some off while making others think "hmmm..maybe...". If being myself loses me potential meets, then that's fine because being myself would have got me turned away eventually anyway, so this way saves time effort & cash for all concerned. I'm my own filter!
It's easy to forget that there is a significant "silent majority" who read but don't post (waves) - presumably we're like a low-quality version of Eastenders to them!

Get a lot of winks and friend requests when we post in forums. Not any messages though!
And do think we should watch what we say in forums as it may put folk off but then we think nah fuck that |

I meant myself, of course.
You're clearly from a classy soap....like...er.....
As a follow up though, I appear to have generated lots of looking from what I thought was an obvious piece of satire on the forum. I do hope nobody's taking me seriously otherwise I might be in trouble |

I was talking about everyone on here, not just us!
If we had to opt for a soap family to be in,it would probably be the Dingles.
They aint got much but they do have fun! |

I dont know if Im classed as a regular poster or not but I havent noticed more people looking at our profile after I post but whenever I go into the chatrooms then there is a huge jump in how many people look at the profile and message us. Must remember to go into the chatrooms more often!!

Well I clicked your profile and saw I'm not what you're looking for... pleased I did though, lovely pictures and from what you've posted in the forum you seem very sound.
Not a gripe, but no point PM'ing when you're clearly looking for something else... so the answer has to be (based on me as an example) that you're not getting pointless messages just by posting on the forums |

Fab's forums are pretty odd in that whilst you can see from a forum post who has posted you cannot see from someone's profile what/when they've posted. Thus you can't see if they've said anything interesting. The forums would be more useful if they worked as per normal forums and a better component of the social aspects of the scene.
I don't post enough to know if it affects the number of hits/amount of interest you generate though. |

The best way to see what people have posted and if it's interesting is to read the posts - can't see any other way - is there one? A list of comments on a persons profile would ne meaningless as would be out of context |

I would NOT like my profile to be linked to threads I have posted on in the forums.
Surely sex meets and forum opinions or glib throwaway comments are different things. Don't come back at me with 'but ooooooo the forum posts really show what you are like.... I very much doubt that.
I have never seen on anyones profile a wanted section where others are asking for someone with a journalistic writing style or a low handicap at lexicon ..... giz a shag n who cares ffs.....
P.S. I do get very nice messages from forumites. No offers of sex tho. |

If you click on the green arrow just after the Avatar and name of the person on the forum, you can see what threads they posted on. |

I am very wysiwyg, type the same way as I talk, and like to be sociable.
Some peeps may find me too opinionated for their liking
However, I'd like to believe I am true to myself.
I am like Marmite, either love me or hate me, and I don't really care! |

I forgot to mention, my playmates found me via using search and not via the forums, so I do not believe it makes any difference whether I post in the forums or not |
