What’s the furthest you would travel for a meet? We have gone up to 80 miles, mainly because of where we live and both the Chams, Xtasia and Townhouse are all 2 1/2 drive for us.

We’d happily travel anywhere in the UK for the right person/people. Seems a great excuse to get a hotel booked and have a dirty weekend away

Happy to travel for the right genuine person, living in France at the moment so it’s only 1 hour flight to the uk, and the opposite way if anyone fancies a trip

I appreciate that other people would be happy to travel the length of the country to meet me but somehow that makes me feel really odd.

I’ve never really been able to fully articulate why though. Almost like if someone had travelled far, I’d be uncomfortable then saying no if things didn’t click ( for clarity, I still would say no but I’d feel super uncomfortable doing it ).

Am I alone in this?

We would travel if it was a place we fancied a weekend stay in also, then if you don't hit it off we still enjoy a nice weekend.

Plus when we do jump into this wouldn't feel comfortable meeting local people. Got to be a hour distance atleast

A lot of people wouldn’t meet locals but to me (him) I can’t see the problem as we all have the same interests

An hour, maybe an hour and a half at a push.

My play time is very limited and so I'd rather be spending it playing rather than travelling

I travel over 50 miles on a regular basis to meet nice people I’d rather do that than meet someone 5miles away, people on here who live local are the types that are chancers that want “meet now” at a minutes notice .... I pick and choose who I meet and it’s not based on locality

In the past I've driven 3½ hours each way but the level of expectation that created was enough to drive me off the site.

I was told that as I'd done it once there was nothing to stop me doing it on a regular basis.

I refused, ensuing drama kicked off and I left.

These days I won't travel more than an hour. Any longer and I expect them to meet halfway.

If not, it's been nice chatting.

I'm seeking connections that are generally less than a one off. So distance definitely has a bearing in how realistic that could be

Nope I'm the same

I only meet socially first & its not realistic for anyone to travel too far to me just for a drink & chat.I'd always feel they'd expect more than that if they travelled a good way.

I've travelled 200 miles before but if I do that I get a lux hotel and don't assume anything. Had a nice chat drink and cuddle and gone no further before and thars all good at least its a nice break away.. can ever make assumptions. Online click does always work in person.

I go about 60 min if it’s new person If I happen to be working or travelling to an area then it’s not an issue.

Mostly though an hour travel. Clubs I may venture further to try out though

Maximum 50 minutes for a first meet...would prefer a club and less though, due to no shows. If we all got on well though we'd probably go a couple of hours or more for a day together.

Not very far as we always insist on a short social first.

Expectations and no shows seem to increase with distance.

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

A 90 min drive, however ideally I’m looking for someone regular who can spend entire weekends away. Exploring eating together etc…

So if ai got that anywhere in the UK

Personally anything more than half to three quarter of an hour is far enough.

Anything more I am not likely to even talk to that person.

Somewhere in Co. Down

45 mins travelling is far enough for me and I would expect them to travel as well. I tend to find the farther. you travel the more expectations from a meet even if it's been made clear it's just a social for a chat and a coffee.
