But I wouldn’t give oral at all without confirmation of a recent clear sexual health check, knowledge of the person and enough trust to know they wouldn’t risk my sexual health for their pleasure. |

Honestly, if it's a thin, oral sex condom and you can keep your lips wet enough to avoid friction burns then it can work just fine. Of course it feels weird wearing them but it's not to be judged. It's not safe sex without. I will do it without but I test my throat regularly, I do not know anyone else who does that. But not all sexual activities carry the same risk of transmission of STIs. In fact the differences in likelihood of transmitting vary hugely. Not all STI's are the same of course but taking HIV the risk of transmission from receiving anal from somebody infected is maybe 1 in 100. From receiving vaginal it is more like 1 in 1000 so 10 times less likely. From oral sex the risk is much lower and almost negligible. Of course nothing is risk free but it is a calculation of probabilities and weighing up risk vs pleasure. |
