"It will b in my own time but some off the replies i have recieved is shocking . As if its wrong to meet away from home"
I think some people don't like to meet people who are just passing by, but then many don't mind. I see plenty of meet requests for people coming into my area on business. |

"Is it wrong to try and arrange a meet when you are away sonewhere with work ?"
Hell no!
I travel all over with work and use and abuse the hotels that are paid for!!
Why would it be wrong to mix a little business with pleasure? |

There's nothing wrong with meeting when you are away with work.
But equally it's not hard to see why people do get offended by the "I'm in the area and just wondered if you'd like to meet" type messages. |

"Well if anyones intrested its teesside al be at next thursday 17/1/13 if any decent folk are intrested and happy if its just a social meet"
Just to add - if it's an overnight stop you'll have more luck. Particularly if it's somewhere you'll be likely to visit more than just once.
The odds of someone jumping for a daytime quicky in a car because you're passing through are considerably less!
Good luck! |

There is no need to be rude, report them
I would mention when messaging or advertising that you come down there every so often with work. Also if you can accommodate at a hotel that's worth a mention too.
Good luck |

This method has worked for me!
Just make sure you read profiles fully - some people clearly state they're not interested in those 'visiting on business' or 'just passing through'.
But i've made some good contacts who i've seen for repeat meets on my travels. Not everyone likes playing with those too local so it can work both ways - and variety, as they say, is the spice!! |
