Every category on this site has timewasters. Single men, single women, couples, TV/TS/CD, you name it.
Most have been stung by at least one group at some point or the other. Block, move on and use knowledge gained from let downs as experience in the future.

Well I've just been let down too by a guy I've met before few times and an hour before meet and my what would be first club experience he just text me to say I should arrange something else. He's done it once before when we've arranged club so I'm guessing its his problem not mine. His lost |

My advice is improve your profile as negative only attracts negative, maybe add some erotic pictures and actually chat and sound out potential playmates much more beforehand. |

i would be lucky to find a single fem round here that is real and isnt so picky cos the odd few i have mailed ,,low and behold the next day it says user no longer on the site ..hhmmmm and ive had some very good meets on here and always turn up when i say i will and if that person isnt the one who i want to meet then i simply dont arrange to meet ,,,but 30 meets let down in one week ..lucky you for getting 30 possible arrangements |

So I have to say that I think the single guys of derby are fantastic.

FAB should automatically delete profiles that havnt had any activity (verifications or new photos uploaded) in a set time frame. 12 weeks maybe?
I've been back on here 2 weeks and am photo verified, have recent pics and I've had 3 very good meets verified by respected people on here.

I disagree, I think people will blame a single guy; even if its a couples profile.
Its easier to believe you've been messed around; instead of just saying, ok theyve changed their mind and Im not for them.
Each group has 'time wasters'
however, I recently saw both sides of a 'time wasters incident' and neither parties were actually time wasters, it was a mis communication. It made me realise why name and shame would never work too.

I find best thing is to use a club. I find that that way the guys tend to turn up. And in case of not enough guys turning up. There are guys on hand anyway. |

the genuine guys do not suffer, they make their own destiny... mostly with self respect, a honed selection criteria, taking time to get to know people and not a scattergun any orifice will do mentality works..

When I see females and couples complaining about massive let downs by single guys, it gets me wondering how much due diligence was done in the initial selection process.
For instance, with the OP, did you just invite any single guy who replied to your meet request or did you check whether they were:
* Verified
* Local
* Had pictures
* Could string a sentence together
Did you speak to any of them on the phone? Did you give them good directions to the venue?
The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of timewasters out there, so you have to give yourself the best shot at getting genuine people by doing some simple vetting. |

Worked for me when I was single. If anything the fakes and timewasters or whatever you call them worked in my favour. Same as crap profiles. In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king and amongst all the dross on here, as a single guy it is very easy to stand out from the crowd. |

I see you have now added some text to your profile, which is a definate improvement.
maybe try some clubs, it's a good way to meet people and make friends within the swinging community which can then lead to further meets and party invites.

Well I am revisiting this thread to offer my apologies to the OP and eat some humble pie.
It turns out I have met the lady in question socially at a club several times and that this is her single female profile.
She is genuine and the let down seems entirely true, staggering as it seems.
So my apologies for my doubting comments and I wish you far better luck in the future. |

Irrespective of the number of failed meets, your profile says you cannot accommodate - but in your post you mention the 'failed to turn up'?
Was this to a pre-arranged social meet or a hotel?
That many hotel meets that have gone tits-up is hellishly expensive!
That many social meets that never turned up - I hope you have a Costa loyalty card
But to drive round to so many houses and they all be out?? Phew, that's just bad luck .
Perhaps as people suggest, a different approach in ing out the time-wasting no-hopers and getting to the quality chaps who are on this site is whats needed? |

single men get bad press on here. what about couples letting singles down/ couples down. lets here from those people. its swings and roundabouts.excuse the pun. it happens to everyone for whatever reason. |

must say in our experience we have had a lot of single males that love the idea but give them the opportunity and they bottle it but have also met some very nice totally genuine men. |

well with there now being over 100 replies and not a single other post by the OP ... I think we can tell who is serious about not meeting people.
I am wondering though how many back up plans someone needs and...
I am wondering what is meant by being let down.
Is it a case of they chatted to you so you automatically think they are meeting?
