I see this often in verifications. I just wonder, how often do people have follow ups for the initial meet? Are they just being polite?

we have met some folk a few times now, we have also met some folk just the once, when we say that we mean it, but sometimes life just gets in the way so we have to wait and hope they don't loose interest in the meantime
