I was told yesterday that in chimapanzees groups, the alpha male will often share his female with all the other males in the group...
Chimpanzees have history of killing baby chimps - so by the female having sex with all the males - the males think any babies might be there's and so are not violent to it
It makes me realise that hotwifing / sharing of wives is actually pretty normal biological behavior that is engrained in us...and not some "weird pervision" as the prudes would have us beleive

Wife sharing should be rolled out nationally as a precaution against infanticide.
You read it here first. Tell your MP about the idea.

Interesting...
I know that Lions commit infanticide so that they can have their own offspring and the Lioness will only look after them..

Yeah.
Be good to hear David Attenborough commentating on Chimpanzees swinging though.
1 of the best pieces of TV I've ever seen was a David Attenborough documentary called 'Dynasties' about an Alpha male Chimp called ironically David.

"I think one important point has been missed here.
We aren't chimpanzees." and an adolescent chimp will bite a persons face off, chimps are 100 times more aggressive then humans and considering how aggressive humans are. |

"I think one important point has been missed here.
We aren't chimpanzees.
We have 98.8 % the same DNA as a chimp.
Some of us are more Chimp though "
Agree we arent chimps but thought it was interesting that us humans display some of the same behaviours as them. The fact the male chimp will share his female makes me understand how hotwifing is so popular! |

But he 'shares' so that nobody kills the babies. I don't think that's why hotwifing is popular. I am not an anthropologist though |

We have 40 to 60% of the same dna as a banana but I don't find myself irresistibly drawn to custard... |

Alpha chimps actually don’t share their women with other males, so I don’t know who told you that. There might be instances where one female will fancy another male and entice him out of the group to get it on, but since chimps sleep in the trees, someone is bound to see and raise the alarm.
There is a clip on YouTube from a nature program of this scenario - let’s just say when they get caught Alpha is less than happy. |
