I had someone try and organise a meet today then noticed the supposed lady was actually 2 different people. Same shape but tattoo. Wedding ring etc , after I sent my face pic and asked for the same she said she can't because of her job and sent 2 random bloke pics ??when I said don't bother you can tell its a scam with different women in pics I got radio silence, not even an argument |

What you suggest is of course right. But for some it's a case of getting a foot in the door and so the truth will be stretched to breaking point to achieve that...Personally I prefer a video call before a meet to be sure of who I'm seeing not least for my own safety. |

I think we've been lucky, most are as we expected bar one who clearly lied about the age.
I much prefer meeting people at socials for this reason, people either have an idea of what someone should look like based on snippets and then doesn't live upto expectations or general catfishing.

Unless you've enabled message filters people can message you from the reply privately button on the forum. |

I’m honestly not trying to knock you but hopefully you can see it doesn’t really look good when you’re complaining about other people’s profiles and hiding your own ? |

where did i say it was this profile ?? lol i could be talking about any profile our joint one maybe jeeze its a forum for talking ..im talking its pretty obvious my profile is hidden and im accepting no messages so that would instantly say to anyone its clearly not this profile im talking about |

Completely agree with this view. I think my profile picture looks like what I do now , but I mostly always attach a picture and a friend request to any messages so the other profile can see all my photos that show me at my best and worst lol I'd also sometimes attach a direct photo of me at that time. |

I wish I could take a good picture lol people always tell me I look so much better in person but I can never get a decent pic. I went on a date once with what looked in her picture like a stunning woman, so sat outside the pub waiting for her (never let a lady enter a bar on her own gentleman) this old woman came up to me said hello, I said hi but do I know you? She said yea I’m your date lol I was nearly sick in my mouth lol needless to say it didn’t end well  |

It’s a natural human trait to choose pictures of yourself that are flattering.
Some take artistic license too far of course but a simple time saver would be to ask for a quick video chat to save disappointment.
Pretty easy if you’re that bothered. |

Snapchat is probably one of the worst social media apps going. Sometimes it's hard to tell who you talking to. Even the snaps can often be dodgy as it is |

People fabricate all the time. We do too to hide tummies etc, all angles, mirrors and smoke. however we mention tummies in the profile.
Our experience is people lie about height. 5ft10 seems to be a grey height everyone is that height. We meet them and they are clearly smaller. We now look for over 6ft...if they are smaller than scotsman then no. Simple rule. |
