Freshly squeezed lemon hot water and add some honey make sure it's not too sweet as you need the bitterness

Remedies? There aren't any - your body will win eventually. If you take liars over the counter medication, the expected time is approximately 7 days. Struggle on inhelped and it'll last about a week lol.

Mitigation in the meantime? If you're bunged up, steam, preferably with a decongestant (olbas oil is savagely brilliant). Obviously paracetamol if you're running a fever. Hot water, honey and lemon with or without whisky, does no harm and is good for morale.

Sound advice, done all the honey, lemon, ginger. Got eucalyptus at hand too.

Treacle, vinegar and honey in hot water with two paracetamol and an antihistamine, along with vitamin c and zinc and lots of sleep

if i or hubs feel like a cold is coming then its spicy food time and eat well .... we dont get them often but then half our weekly meals are spicy

Rub Vicks on your chest , back and on your bottom off your feet drink loads off orange juice and water , eat some chicken soup and you feel better
