Shouldn't we be encouraging being brave by messaging 1st, before sending unsolicited friend requests??  "
Your choice entirely no one is forcing you to take part! I am sure most people can exercise common sense and read profiles prior to sending a request and respect people's wishes |

Indeed. I'm not a fan of random firend requests arriving out of the blue, and I know most others on the site are the same, so I don't send them.
There are a fair few on my hotlist that I wouldn't be able to send one too anyway, or even a message due to being outside of their current requirements |
