So I'm in need of some serious motivation, I'm getting back into the gym and making myself get fitter and healthier again but my motivation sucks sometimes, anyone got any advice or can help me get more motivated and get me to really push myself. |

I’d say even if sat there in an eve mate and watching t.v make sure to get up and keep moving during the breaks…. Do some push-ups during the ads etc… it isn’t always possible or straight forward making time for the gym but little disciplines all add up |

I was the same. I always talked myself out of doing everything, whether it was chores, going for a walk.
Now I ask myself what's stopping me. If I don't have a genuine answer, I do it. And I do get the rush of energy from it, which spurs me to it again.
The first one is always the hardest. Suck in a deep breath and tell yourself you can do it. Even 10 minutes. |

I just started back at the gym last month having stopped before covid. I set myself an easy target... 30 mins cardio three times a week... Easily done as that's 15 mins X-trainer, 5 mins rowing and 10 mins treadmill. Found that easily achievable so now 45 mins to an hour. Will aim to start alternating with weight training once I've got a habit going
Id say keep it simple. For me, any movement was better than no movement given the hours I spend at my desk each day
Hope you find something that works for you |
