For the people that use the wink feature, what is its purpose in your eyes?
I’ve received a few winks in the past week and naturally I have winked back at those I am interested in but then that tends to be the end of the interaction |

Just an indication of liking what you have seen and an invitation to possibly check you out. If it's returned I'll often follow it up with a message thanking them for the wink and enquiring if they might like to converse. Often, the messages go unreplied, but such is the nature of fab |

A way of showing interest and want to communicate. I normally message back, even if not interested just to let them know. But at times it’s good to chat. |

Since you can frequently waste a lot of time and effort constructing and sending decent messages that end up going unread, a quick wink is simply an easier way to show an interest and hopefully attract the attention of the person/people you like.
If they wink back then you can start a conversation. |

We use it as a way to show we’re interested and if we get one back, we send a message introducing ourselves. We do get winks and when we wink back nothing happens, some times we’ll drop a message anyway but a lot of the time we just move on. |

"Just as a hi you look cool. If someone winks me and I like the look of profile I’ll wink back. It’s up to them if they message or not then
You must get an awful lot of winks "
You know I thought by blocking men from messaging me (I prefer to approach guys directly ) it would have neutered it down. |

I squirmed a bit when I read about neutering men then. |

It would certainly solve a few of society problems that’s for sure if we did |
