My laptop is not charging.As its contents are of a very intimate nature p c world etc are ruled out.can anyone help ?.

Try buying a new battery and/or charger for it - batteries on laptops dont last for as long as the laptop can.

just remove battery & use mains lead to start laptop,,i had same prob,,worked fine till i cud get replacement battery

If it works ok on mains charger but just doesn't charge you have a duff battery. Get one off eBay
