I'm probably going to get slated for this but i was just wondering.Do we use the word swinging just as an excuse to basically have sex with other people because we want to, and just wont admit it to our partners/husbands/wives etc. Or is it really a case of just hightening our aready great sex lives? |

Hmmm... we have a good sex life without adding anyone extra into it and I could genuinely walk away if it threatened our relationship. Sex with others is fun. It is, however, only a small part of my/ our life |

I was part of a swinging couple and we found it added an extra bit of excitment to what we thought was a ful and happy sex life. However im not going to sit on the fence because as i am now a single man id have to say; its because we are single and enjoy the sexual company of others  |

I think it depends on yer frame of mind, how you see things.
I think most are on here for self gratifying sexual needs, and are probably not true believers of the swinging lifestyle...they use this site as a sex site because swingers continue to entertain them.
For me swinging is more about connections of the mind, and the horn you get when pushing your individual personal boundaries! If there's no connection of the minds when you meet and you have sex anyway, then i'd say it was just a shag not a swing meet or whatever you wanna call it. But hey... that's just me! |

Im a swinger,
When I was married we were swingers.
When I got divorced I carried on swinging, Im a single swinger.
I think it's more a mindset, there is a difference in my head from being a **** insert which ever name you want **** to being a swinger, and I have all these cards for swinging clubs  so if I go to swingers clubs, that in my eyes makes me a swinger  |

I've always understood 'Swinging' to be Recreational Sex with other similarly minded people who allow both to achieve their individual sexual goals and desires, in an open and honest situation.
Doesn't matter whether you're in a couple or single, it's the same thing. But if you're in a relationship and having recreational sex with others, that's not swinging as far as I am concerned. That's cheating, as your OH is in the dark about what you are doing...

We also have a great sex life together swinging is just a bit added fun .
Difference is when we both have sex we connect emotionally with each other which we don't when swinging with others it's just the fun side.

I think some people do it because their partner is crap in bed, so at least they get to shag other people and have some fun. Other people do it because it's an exciting addition to already fantastic sex lives.
