I'm not sure how your driving licence picture is going to guarantee you'll show up.

Our general rule is never do anything you're uncomfortable with. Sending personal details like that would be covered by that.

Thank you for the response. Yes I asked the same q. Then she said she could take appropriate action if i dont show up. Even i suggested a club meet but she said she cant.

Initially she asked my half of money to be sent to her to book the hotel.i said i dont do that.

It sounds pretty wierd is not it

Waaaay too many red flags there.

Sounds like a scammer to me.

Probably a bloke too.

You're right to refuse to show / give your license details. That's how ID theft happens.

And asking for money up front.

You've dodged a bullet

OP in my honest opinion that is likely to be a scam. Don’t do either of those things and say hell no to anyone who asks for similar. Block and move on. Hope you have better luck next time

Sounds like a set up. Likely going to use knowledge of your identity to pressure you into things

My nan’s spare room.

I think I know her. She contacted me to inform me that my uncle in Nigeria had left £1million in his Will.

She said she’d get back to me.

Sounds like a scam especially asking for half the money upfront then your driving licence.

The worst part of all this is...

....somebody, somewhere, will probably fall for it.

I mean… it could be legit. She might have her own reason ma for it that aren’t obvious to us but even if it is , you only have to do what you’re comfortable with.

If you’re not comfortable , don’t meet her it’s that simple. Had a case the other day someone wasn’t t happy sharing pictures on here and I wasn’t happy doing so on WhatsApp.

We’re either of us wrong ? Nope. We just weren’t compatible so we moved on.

Same here, so t want to share that level of personal info? Move on.

Having said all of that though …. it does sound suss AF
