Body confidence

Hi everyone, we are off to our first ever club visit on the 11th (cupids) and are (very) nervously excited. It's our first time in a swingers club so going to be an experience for us. One worry we both have is that we are both very body conscious. We lack confidence in our appearance and are not skinny by any means..... F is size 20-22 with "mum tum" and M is not thin but not super chubby either, typical dad bod. We are worried we will walk in and it will be full of beautiful people and we will feel out of place and even more body conscious and anxious. It's a dress down club which we are fine with.....can someone alay our fears or are we right to be self conscious in this scenario? We certainly dont want to walk in an people look and mutter "who are these uglies". Might be a needless worry but a worry for us nonetheless.

Thanks R & R XXX

Once you are in there and had a little wander around you will find it's a mix of all body types, shapes and sizes.

I know how you feel, I feel the same. I went to Partners with a fwb who is a larger lady and she had the same concerns. Within half an hour all that was forgotten and the fun had started.

You look great in your pics too. Go and enjoy yourself !!!

One of the things we've found with club visits is that it's very much a reflection of real life. It's easy to assume everyone is going to be gym fit and looking like a porn star. And that when you walk in, the music will stop and everyone will turn and stare at you. Those body types are found in a club but we've found there to be a far greater percentage of 'regular' everyday types. Once you get inside, you'll notice its all surprisingly normal

You are who you are, and you will attract those who see you as such the others dont really matter.

Agree with above but know how you feel. Used to think i was ok but lack of anything on here has made me feel very body conscious and confidence has gone.

I’ve got a dad bod too, and Mrs M suffered with horrendous body confidence. Now you’ll see us walking around VA in our birthday suits. It’s amazing how much confidence swinging can give you!

I’ve been to a few clubs, Cupids included, and I promise you have nothing to worry about there. Yes there are some clubs/events that either target or attract the “beautiful people”, but most places (like Cupid’s) are not like that at all. I’ve been on the scene a number of years and i make a point of avoiding that kind of vibe, imo there’s nothing less attractive than a bunch of people up their own arse.

You’ll have a great time and I guarantee your confidence will get boosted when you realise people either don’t care, or they fancy you. There’s a whole scene for curvier types too so look out for those events, most clubs have them.

Amazingly you suddenly find you’re confidence, would always recommend going on a quieter evening though less pressure find your feet easier.

I wouldn't worry about it guys, the hardest bit is entering the doorway lol

Once you're in there you'll pretty quickly relax

and then you'll notice that everyone else are just ordinary people too lol

This was exactly me on Saturday. We went to our first club Saturday and was ever so nervous because of my body. But honestly after walking through the door and seeing all shapes and sizes I began to relax and funnily enough felt even more relaxed after I had ‘dressed down’ ended up having an amazing night, played with some amazing people with a large audience at one point, as well as on our own. No one is judging you, they are just there to enjoy themselves as are you! Go have a fantastic night. I loved it and can’t wait for our next club! Xx
