I was circumcised at 38 due to painfully tight foreskin for well over a year so was medically necessary after trying other treatments prescribed like steroid creams. Only improvement sex wise was it was no longer painful getting hard and the foreskin pulling back.
Sensation wise it will be different as suddenly the sensitive head is permanently exposed to rubbing material was not a pleasant experience so i no longer wear boxers or sleep naked but I'm getting used to it now.
You also lose the super sensitive frenulum which may impact sexual pleasure but doesn't stop sex being enjoyed, it's just different.
You are best reading up on many medical articles and men's health forums to get as much information on the pros but also cons of it as it is a significant and impactful surgery that should only be done if medically necessary |

Your foreskin protects the head maintaining its sensitivity. Once removed you lose the sensitivity or you’d be forever in pain it rubbing on your clothes. I cannot imagine it’s best practice to snip for better sex unless you’re in pain with sex now with too tight of a foreskin. |

Had it done at 40 due to Phimosis was uncomfortable for a week or two but been fine since. The first time having sex after the operation was like losing my virginity again as it was a whole new sensation and feeling. But I’m sure the excitement and anticipation probably added to the effect. Masterbation is still enjoyable and not much different. I was done 3 years ago, just before lockdown, for medical reasons. Had the snip at the same time. I’ve had issues since with the scarring being tight but didn’t help that I couldn’t get a doctors appointment after quick enough so had to remove my own stitches. Used to get blisters, on the head, for a while after too and just looked horrible down to the rubbing of clothes, not helped by my job which involved a lot of sitting, everything down there was scrunched up a lot.
I’ve continued to use steroid cream, which helps but every now and then I get a tear on the scar.
Feeling wise, sometimes I miss the feeling of the foreskin being pulled back but I’m used to it now. I did wish at the time someone had invented a fake type of foreskin/gland protector to help with the sensitivity and rubbing. |

A tip, lube and gliding the hand for masturbation works quite well. I didn’t get any tablets to help avoid erections but they definitely would have helped. Quite painful some mornings waking up when it’s got a mind of it’s own  |

Had to be careful at the start of recovery, was the longest time I'd not opened fab for ages. Eventually after first week or so warm baths helped to feel more comfortable and with the stitches.
All my boxers had to go as rubbing was highly uncomfortable so only have briefs now and even wear them in bed whereas i used to be a nude or or boxers in winter sleeper |

I was circumcised at 25 for medical reasons as the banjo string snapped several times during sex. Each time healed back tighter making it more likely to snap again.
Personally I was unlucky and had a terrible experience with the surgeon being an absolute twat not really caring about the fact he removed way too much foreskin and as im a grower not show-er the skin that it used to grow into was no longer there so it used to drag my ball bag up the shaft and was super uncomfortable. 9 days after the op i got a full hard on that i couldnt stop and 50% of thr stitches ripped out and one side of my dick expanded to the size it was before but the other side was still stitched together but trying to rip itself free too. I literally cried as i drove myself to a&e and ended up with several consultants, urologist, general surgeon trying to figure out what to do to close the wound again. They could not suture it fearing it would cause excessive scar tissue and they opted to wrap it in something called jellonet for a few days. Anyway I wasnt able to have sex for 10weeks maybe even more and ended up with me temporarily moving out of the apartment i shared with my girlfriend at the time.
Once it healed up its been genrally ok and sex is still amazing but it took me a while to feel happy again was very insecure about how it looked at first. Its not as sensitive and masturbating requires lubricant.
Overall despite the horror of the process i actually really have no regrets and much prefer it now. I dont think most people suffer from the complications that i did |

Had mine done in my early 40s (after I left my wife and started using it properly!!) as my foreskin was super tight. Sex and feeling is very different now as the foreskin and frenulum have all the nerve endings and are now gone and the head is pretty numb so it now takes a lot longer to cum, which can be a positive and negative. I wouldn’t get it done unless it’s absolutely necessary tho! |
