Blocking….

I’m sure many other have had it but I just don’t understand why, after some good chatting, messaging, conversation, exchanging pictures and also arranging to meet for a drink/food, you send a message just to say we still good to meet next week and then you find you’ve been blocked…

Weird one, and I’d just rather say to people or be told, pass right now, not for us, changed our minds etc.

But never mind, their loss as far as we are concerned.

So table booked at our local brewery next Wednesday if anyone’s about ha ha

You'll never understand people on here op,try not to dwell on it.

Maybe they changed their minds or life got busy.Ideally people would message and let you know ,but i think people fear abuse so block to take the easier way out.

Hope you get another meet !

I wouldn't try to rationalize it. Over the year's people's behaviour has left me baffled.

At least you were blocked and not stood up so that's a bounus.

Carry on the good search and meet the genuine people

Not dwelling on it at all, just find it odd, but there you go but yeah, some behaviour is totally baffling

Unfortunately, they are just keyboard warriors who are having a bit of fun at others expense...

Get what you are saying but i don’t think so.

Everyone’s different but I’d rather just have someone say no thanks or changed of mind etc.

We arranged a meet with a couple when we first joined here.Got the night off work, arranged a babysitter, got dressed up and headed a few miles to the pub to meet them. After waiting ten minutes and they hadn’t turned up we messaged to let them know where we were sat and asked them if they wanted us to get them a drink. They read the message but didn’t reply. Odd we thought, messaged again when they were twenty minutes late and asked if everything was alright and if they were on the way then they blocked us!!!! We ended up on our rare child free night, dressed up to the nines supping up our drinks and going round the local b and q!! Strangely enough the couple who stood us up and blocked us rejoined fab under a new profile recently and sent us a wink

Being stood up is definitely worse, especially after you've both confirmed you're on your way, you've travelled a good few miles to meet halfway at a pub and then they block you just as you park up in the pub car park. FML.

If people can not be honest and be up front best they block you before you block them. It is IMO simply rude and therefore they are not worth bothering about.

I just had a message from someone and then typed a reply to have notification Im blocked WTF

When I first joined 4 years ago, I sometimes used to get blocked whenever I'd send a face pic. I think in hindsight I looked too young, which is understandably not for everyone.

Luckily since then I was able to grow some facial hair. Now I look closer to my age. Considerably less blocks as a result thank god!

Some people, and it isn’t just men, get off on the thrill of interacting and having the time and attention spent on it. Part and parcel of being on here sadly

I’m sure you never would, but did you briefly flirt with the thought of revenge?!

I hope you at least gave them both barrels for being unspeakably rude.

Wouldn’t stoop that low to be honest. I would imagine that they don’t even remember what they did otherwise there’s no way they would have tried to initiate contact with us again.

We've had a few, arranged things then an excuse, when you message to say no problem you find out blocked.

Blocked a few profiles that we don't want to meet and have looked along the way
