This is very much a personal choice issue, I think - some people won't be phased, others would abhor the idea.

Personally, it's never bothered me, but when having sex with someone other than my husband - with a regular partner, I'd discuss it to give them the option, but with someone new, I'd use a Bepe Sponge or probably rearrange the date if my flow was heavy.
