So I've just looked at this near and there's 2 at the top, 2 guys one 42 from York the other 53 from Wakefield, both the same guy and same pics.
Why do people lie so much about age/location etc? Surely when you meet in person it becomes apparent?

I like the ones where the profile text tells you their actual age and that they're just doing it to get around people's filters, and then try to say 'at least I'm being honest' when called on it.
No mate. You're not |

Lots of fakes on here
I once had a man send me a face pic of him on here and when I got him to send me a “live” pic on Snapchat it was someone completely different |

I saw one the other day
The updates were next to each other in the list with the same main profile pic
48 in one 58 in the other and to be fair even the 58 looked a bit under his age judging by the picture |

There is a guy I've met who has pics the same as another profile. When I called the other guy out he got very defensive. X |

From chats with the girls at work, its safe to say its rife on most dating sites, including vanilla ones.
The most common seem to be lying about being single or their height.
Other common ones are lying about ages, jobs (apparently guys like to make their jobs more exciting), weight....and using older photos.
About 12yrs ago, i was sat with my then missus, and a guy from work phoned me, pissing himself laughing. He said the girl i was chatting to at that moment online (im sure he said POF) was his missus.
I was struggling to understand what he meant, as i wasn't on any dating site at that time (while getting frosty looks from my missus).
Eventually it was established that some guy had used some pics of me at a wedding (looking slimmer and younger) from about 2009, and was claiming to be a Firefighter from Uxbridge.
We assumed he had got them from FB.
A girl i worked with chatted to a guy online, and arranged to meet him in a bar. She was stood waiting, and a guy approached her and offered to buy her a drink. She declined and told him.why.
He then told her that he knew, because he was her date.
He had used someone elses pics.
But, apparently they guy who turned up was actually better looking than the guy in the pics.
He told her that he could explain why he used someone elses photos, but she said no way, you lied...and went home. |

This! I met someone once in my 30s and he was apparently 5'11 and my age.
I was looking him in the eye and I'm 5'5. After speaking to him he'd told me he'd been in a teacher for 15 years and a salesman for 10... No overlap. Started work when you were 10 then?
And so many people take pictures of pictures! Why? We can clearly see that they are old. I'm truly baffled at that one. |
