Hi
I am interested in meeting up with someone for a cup of tea and make up session... I am really looking for someone who is very competent with eye make and prepared to chatc help me work out what style and colour etc will be suitable for me. I have looked on YouTube etc but could do with a practical session with someone.
Ideally a real woman or other experienced TV will probably be ideal. Please send me a private mail if interested. Thank you |

You would be far better off making an appointment at a makeup shop or have a home visit appointment.
Whilst the ladies experiment and also gets loads of advice.
They also learn by mistakes.
If your not sure on the private shop visit, The home visit is the next bast thing.
Dont forget the home visit can be at a hotel.
Then you will get to learn your colours
What suits you

I am not very good with makeup. I see those that are really great with it and make it look easy.
I can imagine that you may have other considerations, like a really good foundation, not that that is not a consideration for everyone but good coverage is important.
Wish I could help and I hope that you find someone who can x |

Hi Amelia xx
If you are genuinely interested in learning how to improve eye make up, all of the above are excellent ideas, and I think all methods many of us have used on our journey. In my experience ladies on make up counters literally fall over themselves to help ladies like us. They know we listen … and are easy to sell to!! … I’ve been given advice in both male and female modes.
IF you stick by your mantra of wanting to meet a RG for a cuppa and a lesson … and you have the need to be more discreet, then book yourself into a Dressing Service for a session. They particularly understand how to make us appear more feminine, and great teachers.

We have some good makeover people up here in Manchester and you can learn a lot from them quickly, so it’s a great timesaver. It’s all very well to ask another girl for advice, the problem is that they may have worked out how to do their own makeup to a high standard but won’t necessarily be able to adapt it to you. A professional makeup artist knows how to do other peoples makeup, not their own. It’s a different ball game. |

There is another way that you could use.
At makeup companies there is online virtual makeup that you can use.
It gives you chance to play around and see whats maybe best for you.
Really it does depend on your face and eyes to what is best for you to wear.

Hi
I did try this a while ago just to see how I might look...... And the app wasn't very good really.
I am looking for real experimenting here.... I do experiment....but just looking for someone to bounce off in person.
