We normally just book a Premier inn for an overnight.

Check in at 3, then often leave by 7/8pm and go home.

Normally pay about £40

Dayrooms are very expensive now between £55 And upto nearly £100 depending on hotel , no cheapos anymore !

Better off booking a Premier Inn/Travelodge then checking out after a few hours. After you’ve had the tea and biscuits, of course!
