1. Is it really that amazing? If so, I'd suggest that you're not really paying attention to the world around you.

Any one of us is hiding a thousand insecurities and our physical appearance can have no bearing on our mental wellbeing. There is a specific person I am thinking about who to me is a paragon of physical beauty, but seems to be really suffering from a lack of confidence. I won't name them, or attempt further to pat them on the shoulder and reassure them, but they know who they are and I'm here if they want to talk. |

Insecurities are in most people and being deemed beautiful doesn’t mean no one else has them.
If I decide to open up my vulnerable side of insecurities then the last thing I want or need is someone else saying they can’t see them. Especially someone I don’t know.
That’s the whole thing. It’s not about how others see us but how we see ourselves.

Most people find that being told how amazing they are on here doesn't really alleviate their insecurities because it's mostly hot air.
They also find that being told they shouldn't be insecure because of self perception patronising.
That applies to men and women and the nature of this site with the disparity in numbers means that it usually adds to insecurities rather than relieve them. |

I think you kind of re-enforce the point i made on another thread last night about its easy to understand a lot of men on here being insecure when it's easy to spot the direct link between guys with the toned, ripped gym bodies, and the verications and meets they have had compared to the rest of us with flabby bits and dad bods.
With respect, it's easy to say 1000's of men on here are insecure when you have the body of Mr Universe. |

I think you will find that a constant supply of being told your value is in your appearance (boobs, face, body, pretty, beautiful etc) by strangers on the internet is the major cause of insecurity , not the cure for it |

I'd say if you have any insecurity this site or any sex site is the last place to be.
Bit like attending a swinging event if your marriage is a bit ropey.
Like putting petrol on flames.
I get random men saying how sexy I am, how they love my photos etc etc
It's meaningless, funny maybe.
I can understand it's a hook up site for sex and a place where the insecure and vulnerable can get a good kicking, it's sad but just is.
It's a indictment of society as a whole.
For me, the site gives me exactly what I want, recreational sex and contacts for parties, holidays and clubs, nothing more and the last place I'd discuss any insecurities or personal problems I'd be extremely worried of being targeted as a vulnerable shag.
Dress the replies in caring, understanding empathy but it's just to get into my knickers.

I think everyone has insecurities, but women are more vocal about it.
I'm probably most insecure about my tits but only when they are unsupported because they look alright in a bra. I hate my face too. I'm comfortable with everything else and have learned to accept most of me. |
