So I arranged to meet the female half of a couple this morning. Got the address etc and made my way to the meet, got there the female opened the door then I look into the lounge and there’s a child sitting there!!! Wtf!!! I made my excuses and literally ran out of the door! Has this happened to anyone and what did you do? Stay or leave?

Not exactly the same situation but I had a meet once, stayed downstairs in her living room/kitchen then afterwards she just said "I'll be back in a minute just need to check on my kid upstairs"...

Definitely made me feel uneasy

Slightly different situation but yeah she should have told you! I can’t believe what’s just happened to me! I don’t think I’ve ever ran so fast

Kudos for leaving. Speaks volumes about you, and anyone else who wouldn’t put a child in that situation (having their children in the house when sex with strangers is happening!)…even if their parents would.

What is WRONG with some people.

Yeah bad experiences do

I had my fair share of disappointment from fab. But I admit equally had amazing sexual experiences. You win and lose some

I noticed men don't seem to like doing that. They say that's what social is for. But i like to see how compatible i am with him first to avoid wasting eachother real time which to me is very precious

I’m shocked that any parent would invite a stranger over with their child in the house. I’d do exactly the same as you and make a sharp exit, you definitely made the right decision there!

There are some for whom childcare can be an issue - they possibly may not have the ways or means for their children to spend time elsewhere...

....I can think of at least 10 instances over the years when I played with couples and (mainly) single mothers who had children in the house at the time - it was only ever a 'problem' once, when one morning I awoke to find a three year-old asleep inbetween me and her mother...

Not quite this but our 1st meet we went in, had a drink, got jiggy then afterwards the lady said just be hold on while I make a bottle for the baby, turned out she had a 1 year old in another room, if that wasn't bad enough her brother walked in, still underwear on the sofa still explaining he was concerned he'd not heard from here and surprised she had visitors as she "wasn't allowed" seems it was emergency accomodation due to previous partner issues, safe to say a return meet never happened.

This is why I only meet in clubs, bad experiences so I won’t meet privately and I’m not bringing anyone near my home where my child is although it’s shocking how many will try to push and invite themselves even after repeated no’s.

I’m thankful for the block button here

You did the right thing. Childcare isn’t an excuse. If you can’t arrange it, rearrange the meet to when you can.

What?! Fuck me. What is going on in peoples heads?!! And what if the baby started crying half way through, or her brother (he might have started crying, who knows?!). How, how, how did she think she was going to explain that to you both?! Aaaaaargh.

I was talking to a couple once - they seemed attractive, engaging, articulate. Until it was suggested I’d need to come to theirs and we’d all have to keep the noise down because the kids would be in bed.

I actually get attitude quite often from men when I won't meet them for a "quickie whilst the kids are in bed"

I dont even meet at my house because it's a family home not a knocking shop.

They always whine and try and persuade me so they just get blocked.

I used to visit someone whose Mum (more my age than my friend's) was often round there.

My friend used to say, "I need to talk with Frank in my bedroom. He's my social worker".

I'm sure the old dear believed that!

Honestly that was the fastest get away ever, I couldn't believe it and as a 1st meet hugely off-putting, lucky meets since have been much better.

Not quite the same but about 20 years ago I arranged a meeting at a woman's house.Got there and had a drink and she insisted we stay downstairs. Lots of oral followed by a few positions and we were going for it doggystyle, naked, her big tits swinging when a small voice said Can I have a drink. Fucking hell!

Yes the same happened to me myself and a partner what made it worse it was a meeting of a couples party. We didn’t stay to find out how many couples

Grim. Was chatting to a couple on a different site recently who mentioned they'd have to meet late because their young kid would be asleep upstairs. I said I was hugely uncomfortable with that and was ending the conversation. They got really arsey and said 'we've met loads of people and it's never been a problem.' You did the right thing.

I was visited a couple and the door from the front room to the stairs was wedged shut with a door stop.

I didn't notice this until the fun was over and I asked to use the loo.

The door was wedged in case the kids came downstairs, needless to say I drove home crossed legged and slightly annoyed that I didn't have the option of visiting knowing the children were in the house.

I had a similar wedge experience with a woman whose 35 year old stay at home son was downstairs in his basement room opposite the toilet.

Little chance of him dragging himself upstairs, though, he liked his bed and sleeping off all the food his doting mum cooked for him far too much.

In fact she only came into the front room for hanky panky during breaks from what seemed like perpetual cooking sessions.

Worst of all, she seemed to think that I would be more interested in food than nookie!

I’ve had a not too dissimilar experience, having turned up at the woman’s house and after approximately 10 mins she asked if I minded her child being upstairs. I said I didn’t mind as long as she wasn’t expecting to play. She was taken aback that I’d refused but there’s no way I can fully relax knowing there’s a child nearby and the risk of them walking in. No thank you

Happened to me a view years ago on the tango app. Went to meet the woman after an initial cafe social. All was going well until her kid probably around 2 woke up and came in the living room. Being young I didn’t use my head and get out of there I just went in the kitchen and she locked the kid in the living room. Shocking. Now older and looking back she should not have even invited me over I know single mum life is hard time wise but come on

Happened to me about 10 years ago, wasn't from this site.

Had no idea there was a child in house when she took me to bedroom. About 10 minutes in a wee girl who was probably between 2 and 3 came bursting in the room and flung her arms round her mum. I covered myself quickly but was a bit in shock tbh. Always remember the eye contact the girl made with me while she was hugging her mum. I just said 'this isn't going to work, mind taking her in other room for a bit', got dressed and left. Felt terrible for the wee girl because there was no way I was the first or last guy in that situation.
