I am constantly amused that some people on here ask for a face pic with a first message without having a single picture on their profile at all.
Im not sure how rare I am as a guy but there is no way I would do that. I do think some on here believe all men are so desperate to get a response that they will respond in whatever way is requested of them. Whilst I know there are many on here who would, there are also many on here who are also selective, have standards and appreciate a two way dialogue with other genuine people on here.
Play fair people. |

Except they don't want all men to send them a facepic.
They just want the ones who are willing to do so and there are plenty who will.
Just because you and I won't doesn't mean they aren't entitled to ask if that is their preference.
Those of us who won't can then use that as a filter to move on to the next profile without getting overly excited or upset about it. |

I won't have a dialogue without seeing a ladies face pic though, I'll always ask the same. No point having some two way dialogue with the intention of meeting if there isn't attraction in the first place, It works both ways.
I don't see the issue? Isn't it expected to want to know what the person you're speaking with looks like? |

Have a feeling of deja vu about this thread. I remember seeing something similar last week.
There seem to be plenty of profiles out there, both single women and couples, who make this demand without having a single picture on their profile.
Some likely get away with it as there will always be a sufficient number of desperate men who will message them anyway, though I suspect that there are also a nuber of them who, by not having any pictures or even proifle text don't get the volumes of messages they were expecting as they tend to be the ones posting dissapointed statuses moaning about their lack of success.
I have messaged such profiles on occasion, but always asking them to return the favour and send me a pic. If they don't, well, the conversation doesn't go any further |

Its not just guys that require their pics from nor is it just females or couples making such requirements.
The site is riddled with fakes pretenders and always has been! Read it look at it as acwhole if smell a rat or its not for you put a pvt note on it and move on. |

My point (clearly poorly worded!) is that I won't send a face pic to someone who requests one with first message but doesn't have any pics on their profile at all. I totally agree there will be a swap at some point between genuine people but rightly or wrongly I see those who don't have any pics on their profile who are asking for face pics not to be genuine. Just my opinion

This is why we just have our face pic there to see. We might sacrifice privacy and completely understand why people don’t have theirs public, but it does mean we only get contacted by people who find us attractive which makes this all a lot easier |

For us face pics are a must. You could be the nicest guy on the planet and really easy to talk to but If there is no physical attraction to begin with then that could be alot of time wasted on both sides. + wifey is quite picky haha.
Good looking, well endowed guys come and say hey |

And that's the point you delete the message and/or block the profile to prevent any future contact.
Exactly the same as any other message you're not interested in.
It's simple. People can and will ask for all manner of things on Fab. You're under no obligation to respond to any requests at all, be it a photo or anything else.
Just ignore and move on to another profile.

"I have face pics private, but will send them when asked and expect them to reciprocate too. Got to be mutual."
Except it doesn't.
Generally if someone receives a face pic and there's no interest/attraction then they won't send one back on the basis of 'it's only fair' or 'you sent us one so we'll send one back even though we've no interest in taking things further'.
It doesn't work like that and if you expect it to then you'll likely be disappointed. No point in expecting one back every time you send one and unrealistic to assume people will, just because you've sent them one.
It's the risk you have to take but you're not going to get one back every time.

About 3 feet away from the fence |
In a world where quite sophisticated face augmentation apps can be freely downloaded on the play store, I don't think a face pic is enough to adequately verify the identity of someone in this day in age, yet some people really hang their hat on this like its the ultimate act of sincerity. Maybe a generational thing?
This unjustified faith that people hold the act of sharing a face pic is what the phishing scammers are relying on in order to bully you into sharing your image.
People need to wake up. |
