I normally don't mind too much if this happens but I find it hilarious and hypocritical when one of the forum police does this.
Especially when they are so vocal about what others do and call them out on it while doing exactly the same. |

As a relative newcomer on the forums I am going to be unusually charitable. It took me a little while to to suss out forum characters and "etiquette" and I have been guilty of mistaking a flirty post for interest on one occasion. I'll therefore forgive one DM but if it's clear that the person isn't interested then let it go people |

No way that the same user flow as “reply with quote” would result in a mistake. The only difference being the UI a user sees based on which option they pick. |

I have no issue at all with this if it relates to something personal, or we've flirted on the forums etc.
Every now and then I'll get a message and genuinely be so confused, because pal - I didn't ask on the thread and I don't care  |

I had it happen the other day. The thing is, the thread it was about had been quiet for a few days. Really didn't understand why they felt the need to message me, of all people, directly.
Feels weird when that happens. Creepy |

this ...i find it wierd but if theres a button there they will use it as a it ok to message ... wish admin would remove it meanwhile ill carry on blocking those who do message because of something ive posted on a open forum |

This! We posted asking for advice the other day. Had 3 responses in the forum and ten private messages! Only one of the messages was actually helpful, the others were just creepy. It's much better to just reply in the forum as it might help others in the future. |
