"Dadbod is a broad term in my book. A lot of blokes would love to have OPs physique
Dad bod to some is those who have a spare ture or beer gut"
Totally agree! Am a dad, have a bod, would I fit to the dad bod category? No idea! |

Some women will take a dad bod and some women prefer a guy that takes the time and makes the effort to have a more well toned and athletic physique.
It’s all a matter of taste and personal standards. |

My male partners range from beanpole to obese to adonis. I don't think it's as big a deal as people think it is. Yes the adonis caught my eye quickly on a purely aesthetic level, but the partners I keep around tend to be more average and dad bod like. |

Not disagreeing with this, but one thing to throw in there is that to my mind, the term dad bod came about from that stage in life where you start putting the time and effort into someone else rather than your own appearance. That stage of having other life depend on you so you think beyond the self (dad bod is just a name but you can make that transition by dedicating time to others in different ways, parenting isn’t essential). sometimes that physically manifests in what could be seen as a decline, but the attractiveness is kept up because you’ve moved beyond self obsession. Equally applicable to women. That’s the last bit of hope that I cling to anyway haha |

"In a world where everyone is obsessed with the perfect body , do women actually like what is know as the dad bod or is it just something made up to make us out of shape blokes fell better ? "
I suspect that there's a little more men with and without a perfect body thst think 'everyone is obsessed with the perfect body' than there are women obsessed with the idea of men having a perfect body |

Any description is largely subjective, and dad bod is no exception. Even those that use the term will have their own definition of what that actually is.
No different to ladies calling themselves curvy, fabulous etc. I suppose. |

Keeping in shape can be an effort, but helps with stamina, so it’s worth it. Having said that I still love sweet temptations , not just chocolate and cream cake. I think DILF is more flattering and experience goes a long way to reaching the parts others don’t. |

Not attracted to super thin people, of either gender, as it reminds me of when I was a skinny youth & hated being thin. Obviously don't have that issue now, lol. Other than that, various specific attributes appeal, not specific looks, for me (Sin). My exes/friends have all been pretty different xo |

NYT magazine 2015 definition:
The dadbod is a physique characterized by undefined muscles beneath a light layer of flab, usually topped off with a beer belly. “The dad bod says, ‘I go to the gym occasionally, but I also drink heavily on the weekends and enjoy eating eight slices of pizza at a time,’” explains Mackenzie Pearson, a Clemson sophomore, at The Odyssey |

Remember chatting to a lady in a pool at a naturist club. Plenty of naked out of shape guys around and I remarked that men can look very ugly naked.
She put me straight.
She said, ‘I’m a woman and they’re all naked men ffs !’….
I see her point now |

I think the term exists because some who are not chiselled themselves feels awkward being with someone who looks like an athlete, so prefer a dad bod as its similar to them |

"Dad bod lover here. Extra points for hairiness "
How hairy, that's the question! I decided it was time to at least trim down when my 13 year old asked "Dad, how come you have a hairy chest and no-one else does?" when we were away on holiday! |
