Do you mind travelling to a hotel to meet a couple?

"As a 3rd how do you find this? I think if a couple is hosting the 3rd it's only right the couple pay for the hotel too !

I have had a couple come to my hotel to meet me.
A great evening was had by all and we have since repeated it.
I have also met single women at my hotel, they have either come to me or been staying in the same hotel.
Best to meet in the bar or reception first and have a drink and a get to know you chat! See if things click. Then maybe take it further from there. Saves any embarrassment  |

I always have a social first. Not a chance in hell I'd meet at a hotel. Likely the 'wife' would be at home sick and it would just be the man. |

We have done this. We booked a hotel room and then put a status out seeing who wants to come over. We wouldn’t dream of asking the 3rd to pay any and definitely not all.
It was our choice to book the room so we should pay ALL of the bill.
I think a lot of couples (not all) on here expect the world handed to them on a plate. And look down on single men. And I think these couples that are like that wouldn’t even get a 2nd look on a club!!! I am definitely no oil painting not at all. Me and the wife always consider everyone as equal. Unless we meet them and they are total knob heads. Oh well over. Tell me if I’m wrong. |

We have done this. We booked a hotel room and then put a status out seeing who wants to come over. We wouldn’t dream of asking the 3rd to pay any and definitely not all.

We've invited single guys (and a couple) to our hotel room. Only the couple was planned in advance, the single guys were more spur of the moment.
We didn't abduct any of them, or ask them to pay for anything  |

I find meeting in hotels rather sexy and naughty. I do feel a bit awkward going past reception sometimes if it a small travel lodge type thing. Usually meet in the bar if it has one. |

Depends on if they are staying at a hotel on a break and invite you then that's on them. But if travelling specifically to meet you then it should be split in our opinion as depending on distance that could have already shelled out a chunk of change to get closer to you op. If it's the single male or female the same has to be said and if it's on a work trip then I'd not say to the company they work for as that could lead to totally bad things including the worker getting sacked possibly |

No problem here for me , I actually prefer doing it this was then everyone is on neutral ground so to speak. Mostly I’ll be the one to book the room as I like a nice break away anyway and anything else is just a bonus but if the other people want to be the ones to book, I would offer to share the cost or at least bring a nice bottle of wine if something, standard host/guest contract applies lol |

Hmm....as usual more than 1 way of looking at that.
If someone wants to meet with us, and play with my partner. They can pay or its a 3 way split.... its part of the negotiation and not a major part either |

If we arrange a gites meet, the room will always be ours and we will foot the full bill.
We don't look at 3rds staying overnight, so the least we can do is pay |

I’ve met a few couples at their hotel, I’m fine with that and it is neutral ground, some people don’t want to be inviting strangers to their home. As for who pays that very much depends on the situation, sometimes they pay and sometimes I contribute. |

I’ve met couples in hotels before, and never been asked to contribute for the room
I have long term play friends I also meet in hotels, and we take turns booking/paying for the room  |
