so people of fab do you pre block ie see a profile on homepage and think block
i think this applys more to those who use fab to meet rather the chat and online stuff ..maybe ??
me ...yes i do mainly home page i pre block those i deffo would not meet or those who leave staus's that are nasty / racist / sexist and so on plus its really cut down on unwanted messages saving the no thanks not for me .. |

Yep. All the time. There's a lot of "no bi men" "no trans" and "no -insert ethnicity-". Just say you're racist queerphobe and go 
Sometimes I block if I don't fit someone's type (if you're looking for athletic I'm not it) but that's usually reserved for people who I find too hot to ignore  |

I definitely do. A lot of people seem to think it's petty but I see it as efficient - if I know people are definitely wrong for us or badly behaved, it prevents them coming up in searches or messaging us down the line - Xeno x |

We’ll pre-block for several reasons, mainly as a filter.
If someone is too close to us or has most of the things we’re not looking for.
If they’ve appeared on our ‘looked at you’ list and don’t fit what we’re looking for.
It’s just a filter. We have preferences. |

No, that's more admin than I'm willing to do. I don't really block that many people.

Yep.
Mainly because it cuts down on browsing time. If we see someone we're 99% sure we'll never be interested in then we hit the block button.
It's just a filter, albeit a permanent one.
We generally just delete the dull 5 word messages but if someone keeps sending them then they'll be added too.
No issues with blocking at all. Why would there be? We're talking about total strangers on an online platform.

I’ve pre blocked some. Those I think it’s as clear as day that we’d never talk in here and we’d have very little in common.
Status updates. The profile text etc, we’d never match up even for a chat. |

I absolutely do. This site for me is to match with people for meets. If it becomes obvious from something on their profile or something in the forum that we wouldn’t be compatible I will block to prevent them coming up in future searches. Saves both of us time in my view |

simple stuff like "420 more than friendly"
Must be completely shaved,soft swap only,only the guy plays, stuff that doesn't fit what we are looking for. We're not here to look at pics and won't meet these profiles so why not block them? |

I/we block all the time wasters, you know the type, the message ping pong brigade who are full of brown stuff, however we are honest with those who we aren’t attracted to and let them know they’re not for us before blocking them  |

I block loads, trigger happy blocking finger, people too close, ones who look at the profile lots and I don't like their profile pic, people we may recognise, generally anyone I take a dislike to and anyone I think is fake.

I have been preblocked a few times. I saw a lovely picture of a new couple from Cornwall and naturally clicked on it to see more. To my amazement I had been blocked. Still cannot understand why. Very strange |

I don't search for profiles so only click on those I don't recognise in the forums or on local updates and if they have something in their bio that doesn't appeal or I find obnoxious or it's full of misandry I'll block. |

Yeah regularly. Anyone who I’m not attracted to, if I notice they keep viewing my profile.
Also I’ll block those who mention drugs, money, bareback, putting up their phone number, putting up their address, those who have verifications from people I’ve blocked etc.

I want to claim the biggest block list. If you have blocked trans from contacting you, your'e probably on it, ha ha. I've even had singles & couples contacting me asking why I've blocked them lol. Having two profiles is a little creepy.....BLOCK LOL....

Yeah, I do pre block. Mainly profiles from local updates with negative statuses or the local ones I’d never meet for whatever reason. I do it just to keep my local updates page positive and with people I can potentially meet.

Most times, i pre block based on things a person might have said on the forum, where it is clear we would be fundamentally opposed in ideaology.
Other major pre blocks stem from not fitting in with threir preferences (especially when they repeatedly view my profile, but explicitly state that they don’t meet black folks). Just saves all involved parties time and effort. |

Profiles with pics that don't appeal to me and come up on updates .

Sorry to revive an old thread but I've searched a few without finding the answer. If we do a pre-emptive block because we've spotted someone we know in real life, how much of our profile, status updates etc can they see? I know they can see forum posts, but how much other stuff is still visible.

The blocked account can't see anything of your profile. They'd have to know they're blocked and access it from another account if they wanted to eavesdrop |

Recently been chatting to a few couples who are way out of our league. They have been lovely but have been thinking of blocking them .
This is only because I don't think it will go any further, even though we'd love to, it's like we are teasing ourselves with someone out of our reach.
Unrequited lust, it's a bummer. To block or not to block that's the question.
Anyone else feel like this?

Also good to know, thank you! We're on the forums a fair bit but think they'd be unlikely to recognise us from the profile pic. Never going to be face pics on newly uploaded. And hot pics is wishful thinking

Pre blocking is great. I use it as a filter for those who I am not compatible with, or just purely won't be interested in meeting. I find it a way to save their time as well as mine.
It won't stop me chatting in clubs or on the forum, just saves them from wasting the time to ask to meet. |

Yes. All of the above. If I know we will never meet I sometimes do. If they have something in their profile that suggests we are not compatible etc. people with no pics who have been on fab ages. |

Using the site for selection of potential play mates. Could be made easier if you could fully deselect things or gender types you do not find sexually attractive. This would disenable all those play preferencies genders from seeing or contacting you in the first instants. Thus removing the need to try and dissuade participant from access. Or simply let them read your profile and understand they are probably going to be told no thank you or be blocked with whinging about it! |
