I'm planning a play date with a couple..
Do I make the reservation for myself or for three people?
I don't want an awkward moment when two more people rock up with bags going to a room booked for one .
Any advice? |

Have you ever met them in real life before?
Book one where you can get a refund. Not all couples are couples or turn up.
Good luck |

This.
Although hard to get a refund once you've checked in.
The golden rule should be that whoever is staying over pays. No need to state the actual number of people that are using the room. We used to book a room for ourselves and then meet others in a bar, then just head up. Reception don't care unless you're walking in with a dozen extras.

"Have a look at the dayuse app can save you booking a room for a full night discounted rooms for 5-8 hours daytime "
I use dayuse a lot. Great for meets on neutral ground. Plus I don't really want stranger coming to my home first meets, and good for group sessions. |

Use Travelodge allow 3 adults in a room or Campinile as they are not connected to the reception.
