From the web :
"Pressure on the female urinary tract during penetrative sex can move bacteria from around the anus into the bladder. Oral sex can also introduce bacteria into the urethra, increasing the risk of infection". |

I've had loads of UTI. Peeing after sex can help but there's not a lot you can do to prevent it happening again apart from being sure hands are clean .
Hopefully she's got some antibiotics and is drinking enough water |

Nothing you can do to completely prevent it from happening because once it's happened you are then more susceptible to it. As people have said pee straight after sex and drink plenty of water before and after sex. Oh and put condoms on sex toys that are inserted for long periods of time...
If it reoccurs fairly regularly speak to your GP about what they recommend as "preventative" to lessen the frequency. |

"So my GF has a Urinary Tract Infection, we think she has caught it from a sexual act but not sure. Has anyone else suffered from this? and what have you done to rectify future episodes. " Buy a bottle of potassium citrate and keep it in the house for when this happens .
It neutralises the urine and often stops the need for an antibiotic . |
