So reading another thread it struck me that preferences are defended about size, colour, sexuality and eye colour. But add a life style indicator such as professional and people get so worked up.
Why? Can we come up with another generic term that is less offensive to so many? |

Class war.
It was all the rage under Thatcher.
I think having a bunch of public schoolboys running the country, taking money from the poor and giving it to their wealthy city mates who caused the finacial crisis, has made class struggle fashionable again.
Gosh that paragraph got out of hand! |

If people are choosing to be offended by it, I'd think that is their own problem. I don't see why people should have to change their wording just to keep grumpy people happy |

What difference does "Professional" make? are they expecting to be paid? Yet just another status as it makes no difference on a nudist beach or a swingers club and to be honest who really cares if you are a Judge or a dustman? |

Is it possibly because some folk prefer to play with similarly educated playmates ?
There was a very contentious thread a short while ago by a couple who couldn't find suitable guys to play with . They cited the reason being that messages were poorly written and the guys were not educated - they were both professional teachers , university lecturers no less.
Their issue was that they wanted to engage in conversation and make friends too . Perhaps this is what people mean ? Not everyone wants to just play , some enjoy socialising and would prefer to socialise with similarly educated playmates .
This in itself seems reasonable , although possibly somewhat snobbish to those who are defensive of their working class jobs or education , and before anyone gets shirty - we are far from the professional category and don't give a toss about class or creed . This is just our opinion on the issue |

Would this not be more a "Friends with benefits" scenario as we all tend to live/play and entertain with people on a similar level to ourselves and very seldom venture above or below our own level in the same way as our own preferences? |

Perhaps they are looking for social intercourse as well as sexual.
When it comes to NSA sex, someone's social status or wealth is irrelevant. Sex is sex. You don't need to be a banker to be good at it. |

Too many people are confusing income and professional. It is possible to have a lower income as a professional than someone who is a manual worker.
Some people prefer to meet those of the same gender, race, body type so why not education? I don't understand why it is so much more controversial. |

Very true. I know plenty of teachers, solicitors and barristers who work who earn a lot less than a well paid tradesman. |

"You've stolen my thread! But it's ok you can have it
Yes, but you must admit, it was stolen in a very professional manner! "
It was rather, wasn't it My intention was to turn it on it's head. Funny thing is as I am semi-retired, now more of an artist than an employee I can no longer declare myself as a professional if it's work related. Though I think I understand enough about the world to not be put off contacting someone who did put the dreaded word onto their profile if they were looking like a good meet for J and myself. |

At the end of the day, sex is sex! It doesn't matter what your race, sex or job is. The reason most people cum on this site is for sex because they enjoy it.
The people that come on here for friendship, well keep coming because you can do whatever you want! And who knows you might get some sex while your here. LOL |

If they're offended by it I probably don't want to meet them anyway.
We might not quite hit it orf |
