So. With the way things are lately, I rent out my spare room.
Same guy has been coming here since April and I can set my clock by his arrival times, always 8-8.30pm.
So I thought I'd tempt it and agreed a evening meet for 6.30pm. Agreed I'd be blindfolded and on the bed waiting.
I heard the door lock and expected my meet to join me pretty soon. I heard my spare room open, couldn't see as face covered, I called out 'wrong room' then hear the door close!
At that point my phone pings. I take a look to see a message from my meet saying 'your guest has turned up early'

The guy that has my spare room only came back very early and saw me in all my glory, tied to the bed...
Just had to apologise, he just said 'it's alright'

How crazy a coincidence is it that in 7 months he came home at exactly the same time and the one day you arrange a meet and tie yourself naked to your bed he turns up early at exactly the same time as your meet was meant to turn up. That’s unbelievably unlucky.
So did you leave your front door unlocked for the complete stranger you’d arranged to meet, who knew you were going to be tied to the bed and blindfolded, to be able to just walk in? I’m guessing the door to your lodgers room doesn’t have a lock otherwise the sound of him unlocking it would have alerted you to the fact it was him and not your meet, so wasn’t your lodger a bit annoyed that you’d risked someone walking into your house through the unlocked front door and walking into his room through his bedroom door that doesn’t have a lock and helping themselves to his things? |

I’m guessing the door to your lodgers room doesn’t have a lock otherwise the sound of him unlocking it would have alerted you to the fact it was him and not your meet, so wasn’t your lodger a bit annoyed that you’d risked someone walking into your house through the unlocked front door and walking into his room through his bedroom door that doesn’t have a lock and helping themselves to his things?

It's my home and I can do as I like. It was literally for 5 mins, he messaged to say he was in the street I message to say which house it was. Also the cameras see everything. |

So did you leave your front door unlocked for the complete stranger you’d arranged to meet, who knew you were going to be tied to the bed and blindfolded, to be able to just walk in? Again, you’ve misunderstood me, I wasn’t criticising you, I was just asking whether your lodger said anything about the front door being unlocked when he got home or if he didn’t care that you’d left the house vulnerable for anyone to walk in.
So, your meet texted you to say he was on your street, you replied to tell him the house number, you unlocked the front door, blindfolded yourself, tied yourself to the bed, then your lodger came home, saw you naked and tied to your bed? Unbelievable timing.
Also, I think once you have a lodger staying with you you’re responsible for the safety of the house and his possessions in the house, so just because it’s your house it doesn’t mean you can do what you like if doing what you like leaves your house vulnerable to being invaded. |

Leave the poor woman alone!! It's her house and she was there!! Sadly for me I wasn't the one who walked as I wouldn't have walked out (Fucking hot story by the way) If she went to work and left the door open then he could be annoyed. Seriously! |

I haven’t once criticised her, I’m a live and let live sort of person and believe anyone’s free to do as they want as long as it’s within the law and it doesn’t have any negative affects on anyone else. All I did was ask what her lodgers opinion was about the front door being left open leaving his possessions vulnerable to being nicked. I don’t think it’s an unreasonable question to ask, if I shared a house with someone and they left the front door unlocked I’d be a bit concerned. |
