As someone who enjoys using poppers from time to time i've been wondering is it mainly a male thing or are there more women than I realise who also enjoy using them! I'm also wondering if and how I could raise the subject with my gf so we could enjoy them together! Your _iews would be greatly appreciated! |

I do appreciate they are not everyones cup of tea and there are risks involved but as someone who doesn't use drugs i'll afford myself a little bit of risk every now and then! Thank you for your _iew tho! |

Used them for the first time on a meet. Was quite good, gave a more intense state of arousal. I had however taken a Viagra pill, wasn't aware that you shouldn't. Got a bit of a headache.
Have purchased 3 bottles just a couple of weeks ago, wife had a little sniff but couldn't stand the smell. Lol.

I thought poppers was a very 80's thing as that was when i last used, and enjoyed them with an ex boyfriend....i didnt even think ppl still used them until i was asked by a meet not long ago if he could bring some along.....on that occasion i declined as i like to think that with age comes wisdom!!  |

I love poppers but as previous stated in this thread they can be dangerous so I dont have poppers often.

They still do work but are no longer as strong as they was. Basically the makers were told change the recipe or we will ban them.

I'm by no means a heavy user of them and maybe I have been fortunate upto now in that i've had only positive effects from them but do appreciate that all things of this manner such as drugs, alcohol and the like can and will affect different people in different ways.
I can and do go without and I would never assume that someone I was with would be into them tho and would always check beforehand. |

Think some people are taking the moral high ground here. Poppers are not illegal, if you don't like them or they give you a bad head don't use them. We don't smoke, but we don't lecture everyone that does about the risks of cancer etc.

The opinions do seem to differ to the extreme on here. I'm of the opinion of each to there own. As long as it don't harm anyone else that is.
As I said I don't and never have used drugs, tho i'm unsure as to wether poppers can be classed as such, maybe more more like solvent abuse, but i've not a problem with people who chose to do anything responsibly and considerately.

Im more concerned about you wanting to involve your gf. If you need to ask advice on how to approach her about them then I think you already know that she probably wouldnt agree to it.
All I would say is, make sure she knows exactly what she is using before she tries it. Dont just tell her they are harmless as they obviously are not.

I used poppers with an ex back in the day....(1989-1991).... I had great orgasms on them, really intense ones...

I have not used poppers for a while but they are good. My orgasms are mind blowing when using poppers. Anyone who says they don't work is not buying the proper poppers. Poppers we have used them but if over used sends you floppy and It can send men importent if they are heavy uses it shrinks brain cells also and blood vessels so use with care they can also we don't use them anymore because it gives us massive headaches as they changed what they put in the stuff the old stuff was alot better and it's not hard to notice a popper user they'll have a rou d burn mark on there nose |

Amyl nitrate (or arguably more accurately iso-propyl nitrate) is a perscription only medicine (POM) in the UK. This compound was released in small glass vials for the treatment of angina, although generally nitro glycerine has replaced this use. Amyl nitrat was also used in cases of cyanide poisoning however I believe there are more effective alternative treatments generally used for this as well now.
Generally it seems that what are now sold as poppers in the UK are now other alkane nitrate, probably principally iso butyl nitrate. If the stock came from the US the most common ingredient will be cyclohexyl nitrate. |

In my youth I working in a laboratory and made Amyl Nitrate (poppers) at full strength - concentrated Nitric Acid mixed into Amyl Acetate and seperate out. We used to make other interesting chemicals as well for a laugh.... sometimes got some work done
It can be dangerous though - be careful. As well as issues with the heart, it can also cause strokes and (if you have a weak blood vessel in your brain already) brain aneurysm all due to the sudden increase in blood pressure.
Trouble is with the last condition, you don't know you have a weak blood vessel till it bursts and then its too late.
Personnally I don't like Amyl Nitrate as it gives me a thumping headache (well, the full strength stuff did anyway.
But if it works for you then enjoy!!

Well I am one female who LOVES poppers! I get a massive dirty/horny rush on them!! I do not do them every time I have sex but if I meet someone who gets the same feeling that I do off them , then the sex is soooooo horny and intense!
