Just a heads up, it's good to be careful and consider what language you use when talking about sex etc as your initial post could be misconstrued as saying anal sex is "abnormal". I get the feeling that wasn't meant to be the case at all and i'm not implying that was your intention but just a good thing to be aware of.
For a whole lot of people, anal is entirely normal and possibly their only means of penetrative sex. Potentially implying it isn't normal could cause a great deal of offence. It might even impact on how people perceive you on here and may lead to people not wanting to meet etc.

I think people in this community are used to a variety of sex that a lot of the general population isn’t lucky enough to experience.
Anal sex these days is becoming a lot more common amongst vanilla couples but it wasn’t that may years ago it was considered taboo and dirty.
There are still a lot of people that wouldn’t entertain it, I think this is what the OP was alluding to if somewhat clumsily.
Their basically asked what people’s preferences were it didn’t seem to me they were making any judgments |
