What's the point of winking
Jump to: Newest in thread
Win getting so frustrated with some peolle. I get a wink then I politely thank them for it and see if they want to just chat and then they just delete my message without reading it. What's that all about. |

The winking system on here is a bit pointless, unfortunately.
I think they'd be better off making it more obvious someone had winked at you.
Or, even using it in a way where you could only receive messages from those who'd winked at you and who you’d winked back. |

I love a wink, it says your profile is sexy and I would like to chat more. Then you can send a message back. I’m more than happy to message, but sometimes you don’t even get a no thanks back. I respond to everyone who takes the time to message me |

There’s plenty reason to use a wink.
Often when I read someone’s profile and I’m interested but I don’t read like their type, but I am similar to some people who have verified them.
That’s one example. I use it to attempt to gain initial interest.
A wink it’s just too momentarily catch someone’s attention, that’s all.
It’s so easy to ignore.

People use winks for many and varied purposes.
We like to use them as a way of indicating interest and, if reciprocated, we will reach out with a message.
We might not get a reply but, if the message was to a couple, we take that as meaning one half winked back but following that, the other half was not interested so no reply is given.

I always respond to 'Winks' from ladies and couples with a 'Thank You' message - sometimes that leads to a message exchange, other times it doesn't...
....there are various reasons why some use them, but generally I regard them as an attention-grabber - a 'Wink' says "Hey, I/We've looked at your profile and like what I/We see, take a look at mine/ours"... |

I love the wink feature, I've had some fantastic meets that all started with a wink. So all winks greatly appreciated.
You just can't take it too serious, and see it as one of the ways to interact with people.
The forums being another way to potentially strick up a conversation.

I like the wink system. It’s a way to say “ohhhh - I like you!”. I find that if a couple or single lady wink then it is a strong indication they are interested.
I always respond to winks and it is very rare that the messages don’t get responded to. |

For me, a wink is simply an indication that someone likes an aspect of my profile. Not a full measure of any interest.
If i wink back, and they proceed to message me, game on.
Otherwise… it is simply a wink, nothing more. |

Wink if you're interested. If they're interested, they send a wink. Then you send a message.
At least that's how I work it, the women who've winked me first seem to expect me to send the first message as well though, because I never get one following my winking back

I wink to show interest in them, if they want to return it or message that’s cool.
Just don’t be negative about it, positive energy feels better
You can just ignore it ….. or if you’re getting a million a day employ a social secretary lol
