"Very interested in trying and maybe joining a couple but I am worried could end up getting attached any thoughts "
Thats pretty much the definition of polyamorous, having multiple loving relationships lol, if you don't want to get attached you don't want a Poly relationship, more of a FWB kind of arrangement |

Find a local poly group and go along to a social meet and ask questions. They will be able to give you some good advice if you want to explore this more.
Be aware that a triad (the kind of set up you describe) is a very challenging form of polyamory to do well, and often its the "unicorn" who ends up feeling the most hurt when things go wrong. But I do know of people who its worked out for, so maybe it will work for you!
Do some reasearch, and find a poly group if you can.

"How would one go about finding local poly groups "
There was a Poly speed dating event not so long ago in Nottingham but that is the only thing I've ever found, possibly ask on a new thread on the forums, someone must know of some somewhere |
