Do people respond to winks or just simply ignore them? I use it as my way of letting people know I’m interested but not often much comes from it. I understand people may prefer a message but I’m just curious to see if winks actually work

I only really look at mine if I'm joining in a forum game or whatever. I think it's a nice low key way of showing interest, but a bit too low key if no one is looking at them

I normally only use them if it's part of a thread its hard enough to get a response from a message never mind a wink

A wink is similar to a polite way to say hello and if receive one back can start of with a message. Prefer using the message if I'm honest

We like using winks to let people know we are interested. If we are interested in anyone who winks us, we send a message

I love winks. Both sending and receiving them.

They have led to some interesting encounters

We have a look at their profile and wink back if interested then message with face pics. The face pics can be the deal breaker..

I like sending winks, shows o am interested in them. If they were not meant to be sent then why have them as a function on the site? There to be used ? X

I think wings are great way of communicating. But my problem is I wink at people that are way too far from me.

That nerve wracking moment when waiting for a face pic to come through. X

This is me also!!

Do think it’s an easier way of gauging the interest between both parties…think it makes the creation of an opening message so much easier haha

Why do people wink when they have no public pictures and a three word bio?

I never remember to check them to be honest. But will from now on after seeing some of the people who have winked at us

I've never sent a wink to anyone. If I'm interested, I'll message with pic. I do receive winks but only respond if they arouse interest, which is rare.

I think of winks as being the equivalent of smiling at someone across a room. If they smile back, I take it as a sign that they might not run to the hills if I spoke to them.

Being where we are in Scotland, pretty much everyone is far away for us, but that doesn’t stop us making an effort to connect. It’s nice to even just get to know people on the scene, and you never know your paths might cross sometime
