I have had three in the last year, one up the inside of my forearm, one across my shoulders and a brand new covering the back of my calf.
Getting a bit addicted, no idea why!

If tattoos are done as an enhancement to the body and body shape and are well thought out, themed, and done by a good artist then FUCK YEAH!

someone said that to me.. that when i get older my sons name on my right wrist, his date of birth on thw other wrist and a black rose on my chest would become all wrickly and look horrible and that i would regret having them.. and i said.. no i wont my tattoos tell my story.. and why would i hate precious memorys.. i hate pointless tattoos.. if your gonna get one then get something worth shouting about..

Well I'm glad this came up as I'm thinking bout getting one - a saxon protection ring around my shoulders but Ive heard it is THE most painful thing to get done when they go over the collar and shoulder bones

i have ten tattoos and the most painful places i have had done are the underside of my upper arm and the back of my neck didnt hurt on spine or ribs as alot of people say but everyone is different i find the pain off tattoos very addictive  |

i have two on inside of wrists tey mea lots to me one is a set of bat wings with my sons name as the spine and the other is my little gothic butterfly i get stopped by patients at work all tme who admire htem i kno wi will get old a nd wrnkly with them but i look aty mine and smile they are pasrt of me and my friends 2 year old sits on my lap stokign my bat and looks at me ans says oby there she knows it his name simple
i lov them woudl have more in a heart beat if people dont lek them then not my problem i live them but men with good ones on yes plx |

I think the pin up girl look with sleeves is stunning but not everyone can carry it off???
I have a few tattoos myself and I've noticed that people's attitudes have changed through the years they have become more acceptable as designs have gotten better n there are some amazing artists out there.
BUT prison tatts done by some back street scratcher mmmmm have to give a thumbs down |

I quite like a few tasteful ones, I have one and am looking at getting another one, 2 roses between my shoulder blades cascading down my spine a little, for my two kids, one who is with me, the other I lost, my first one I had over 30 years ago and don't regret it for a minute |

I was never a fan of tattoos on a lady but then I met my now wife and she has three of them, and I love them! Very sexy. Unfortunately, in order to protect our identities on the web I cover them up in our pics. Sorry all you tattoo lovers! |

Turn off for me.
Fusion has 2. I have none. They turn me off to be honest. But I have to admit I love Fusion so much that I tend to not see them as I see him and everything inside him instead.

Neither.
It is how, where and on whom they are worn that makes them horny (or not).
I wouldn't shag anyone just cos they had tattoos but neither would I knock someone back because they had them. |

Lol, because I thought she was a good singer and also because she was her own boss, she did what she wanted to do, how and when she wanted to do it and nobody was allowed to stand in her way. Ok she was a fool, we all know that, but I admired her for her courage and mourn the loss of a bloody good talent who one day would have been as famous as Billy Holiday, Bessie Smith to name just a couple.

I'm not an artist - maybe WASP would give you a better idea.
I made my assumptions on that (to me) it looks like 2-3 hours work and most artists here charge £60 - £80 an hour unless you go to one of the well renowned ones which will charge far in excess of that.
The most I was quoted was by a german guy who wanted £250 per hour and a minimum of an 8 hour guarantee. |

Problem is sessions is abit different than walk-ins,
I will do the outline then charge per hour..
Walk-ins - i would never tattoo no longer than 2 hours, only because then i could charge per hour..
You will get repeat custom if you do sessions |

oh and they wanted full artistic licence - you gave them a theme and they came up with that tattoo
you had no input other than giving them the theme and saying yay or nay to the design
tbh their work is (to me) awesome, very unusual and stands out
i have seen a few imitations crop up recently, but not come across anyone that can pull that style off like they do
so there's the contradiction because yes it is expensive but to me to get the end result, had i had a spare couple of grand knocking around i probably would have paid it
what i (kind of) object to is the 'celebrity' tattooists who charge excessive rates for average work and get away with it cos they have 1 or 2 excellent tats in their back catalogue or just happen to have inked someone famous |

It's a tender place to tattoo, you are more likely to twitch or move, and ruin the design. The tattooist I had before I moved would have charged £30 extra for doing it there.
Not sure about the guy I use now.
My next sitting is an 8 hour one on my birthday in January, can't wait.

He wants to do the design really badly, it's not in a private place though, only my leg!!
He talked me into it, I went in wanting a 6" design on my leg, he talked me into getting a portrait. Didn't take much persuading though to be fair!! |

I love tattoos, although I do get frustrated when I see 18 year olds with them because their favourite "celebrity" has the same one.
I love talking to people finding out the stories behind the tattoos. My Grandad was a navy man, and had loads. He refused a skin graft after a bad accident, because they couldn't remove the skin from his leg without damaging the tattoo that he'd had for 30 years.
All of mine have a story and a reason behind them, and I'm proud to say none of them are flash from the wall, all are totally unique. |

I've (Ric) got plans for a couple of sleeves when the cash is available.
We can't understand women who have their kids names and birthdays tattooed on them, usually on their back or shoulders, is it in case they forget they need only check in the mirror?
