There are various threads on the ability to accommodate or not. Clearly personal circumstances personal and choices come into play when deciding whether or not to invite someone into the casa.
However if you are invited round to another abode is it too much to ask if the place is clean and comfortable should matters proceed to intimacy?
I ask as a result of a recent invite to what I could only describe a very basic and unclean gaff!
Because of my decision not to stay I am now an official time waster or time waister (sic)
Am I being a little picky? |

Definitely not being picky.
Sometimes just seeing the pics on here put me off when I see the state of the houses. Like you say at least have a tidy round and wash the pots !!
I am a bit of a clean freak with borderline OCD mind !! |

I am a bachelor and my gaff is squeaky clean like you say borderline OCDish!
I just couldn’t get intimate with anyone who’s laminate floor joints had large gaps. |

Fully agree wouldn’t be able to take my eyes of it would definitely spoil the mood ! |

The whole ground floor was a sea of poorly fitted laminate flooring with dodgy scotia moulding! I left the bottles of plonk I bought with me and made an excuse and left.........I felt like a News of The World reporter! |

See, the thing is, quite a lot of men wouldn’t have said or done anything (or left) about it for the pure fact that some sex was to be had, some women know that full well and won’t compute that some effort with the dust pan and brush could be required on their part because they are attached to said vagina… men, on the other hand (for the most part, I’m sure there’s some right greens out there) instinctively know that a huge show of effort is required from personal hygiene to Kim and Aggie levels of cleaning… it’s one of those gender privilege things. On a side note, I reckon you’d have found some interesting shades of colour in her knickers… kinda like a B&Q wood stain colour chart… |

Please don’t get me wrong I quite like sex but there are certain limitations as to how far I would go to participate. To be totally honest I should never have arranged the meeting. So the time wasting criticism could be seen as fair.
If nothing more the couple had two very nice bottles of a Chilean merlot in which to drown their sorrows! |

It depends as it could be they’re busy working, life to fully clean, there is messy and squaller! Or smell of a place.
In terms of flooring, again if it’s rented the landlord could just be an ass and not fix.
Unless the room/house smelt unpleasant, and it wasn’t a tip I wouldn’t be over put off, doesn’t mean a messy house means they’re unwashed etc.
Lastly I don’t get the timewaster part as you turned up and was present, not moving to actual sexual meet could be for 100s of reasons all valid on both sides.
Anyway like most it’s a matter of opinion, my clean house to an ocd cleaner might disagree to my clean house statement, or my nice smelling house could be a turn off as I have 2 cats
I would forget and move on |
